Just wondering if there are any others that have fibro and psoriasis. Have you noticed your immune system is weaker than ever. I have had septicemia and cellulitis and been on antibiotics most of the time since Dec 18th.
How do you build up your immune system?

I am so genuinely sorry to read this my friend and I sincerely hope that you make a full recovery soon. I have pasted you an excerpt from a study by the *NCBI Gov website, entitled: ''The prevalence of fibromyalgia among patients with psoriasis.'' There does appear to be many sufferers of both:
*In total 335 of 1269 patients had musculoskeletal symptoms. More women than men had such complaints, 33% versus 18.5%, respectively. As many as 13% of the women fulfilled the American College of Rheumatology 1990 (ACR-90) criteria for fibromyalgia, while 14.1% had symptoms compatible with chronic widespread pain without meeting the fibromyalgia criteria. In total, 8.3% suffered from fibromyalgia and 9% from chronic widespread pain. The results indicate that fibromyalgia and allied symptoms are frequent in female patients with psoriasis and constitute important problems with regard to disability and health-related quality of life. Only 35 of 105 patients with fibromyalgia had previously been diagnosed with psoriasis and the diagnostic label of fibromyalgia was new to 51 of them. Female patients with symptoms of psoriasis and pain seem to constitute a subgroup which deserves further studies.
I want to sincerely wish you all the best of luck and please take care of yourself my friend.
I have had psoriasis since I was 10 when I had chicken pox and tonsillitis at the same time. I then was diagnosed with psoriatic arthritis about 20 years ago and fibro 12 years ago. I also have IBS. I am just recovering from the worst attack of flu ever. I cannot remember ever being so unwell. I try to eat a healthy diet and cook most meals from scratch when I am able to. I have no idea how to build up one's immune system but you are not alone. Take care Janet
Yes, I also was diagnosed with IBS likely 40 years ago. Most of our meals are cooked from scratch also.
I will continue using probiotics and Vitamin D. I find that most of the time that I don't eat gluten it does not flare up. If I start eating gluten I get into a big flareup!
