Fibromyalgia symptoms?

Hello, does anybody else get a weird sensation through out their body (cold feeling) heart beating fast and some parts of your body goes tingly/numb? Not all the time bit sometimes. Thank you 😊

Hi, yes I do more when I’m in a flare up, but I don’t get the palpitations, this started for me when I was first diagnosed, I think having the tingly feeling sent me into panic hence the palpitations, my GP sent me to have a ECG, everything was ok but doctor changed one of my meds and when I had another ECG after 6 weeks it showed up everything was fine and palpitations stopped. I would definitely go to your GP, it’s probably anxiety like me but I would get it checked out. This Fibro is vile especially when your in a flair. Don’t forget speak to your GP. Yes, see your doc. you never know if its something else but good to rule out. have you also checked your blood sugar?I was first diagnosed Fibro then MS but the major has been genetics.Love that name...arent we all building a new shed? love it!

Thankyou for the reply yes waiting for doctor to call me I will mention my blood sugar. Ha ha I know my name is funny I remember the first day I first tapped into the site I looked out my window and my son was trying very hard to builda shed (he succeeded)on his own as my hubby is disabled and I was a wreck. I will never forget that day and how helpful this site has been to me. I often look at the names and try to work out their meanings lol. Thank you again, is it Jackie? Lol 🤗

Yes. Sometimes it feels like a weird cold shiver and at other times feels like my skin is burnt

Hi again Sas, sorry to say this but feelings of freezing cold, sensations of burning, both like freezer burn and feeling damp when you are dry is another one that you may have experienced? These are caused by your nerves sending false information to your brain. This is not fibro, fibro is muscles like concrete constantly hurting and fibro fog amongst other awful pains. What you describe sounds more like Functional Neurological Disorder and the worst type- sensory misinterpretation. The Neurology Department may be able to help but it can take years to recover- fortunately you are young. Otherwise, a Physchologist may be able to help with day to day life and help you to know which sensations are real. I cannot put the heating on even when frozen as it burns immediately. Sadly these 2 disorders appear to be linked as I have had fibro for many many years but symptons of FND, increasing 'till am now housebound, for about 3 years.I feel very sad for you. Good Luck!

Hello and thank you I do have fibromyalgia I was diagnosed over 2 years ago now but this post is something happening suddenly *with the fibromyalgia* I was just wondering if it was related to/another symptom of fibro on top of symptoms I already suffer with daily xxx

Yes, I get that too. Apart from the various fibro pains, my hearing has become very acute too. I had an ecg and mri recently and they've given me a heart monitor to wear for a couple of weeks. I wouldn't have said I suffer with anxiety normally, but I recently had a bad ' fibro - drunk' moment when I was out walking... like being there... but not being there, if you know what I mean ... it went on for ages. I noticed my vision was affected too.... double vision when looking to the right. Since then, I've had the anxiety... not surprised really as I am concerned about the vision problem which is preventing me from driving...maybe things will get better when I hear back about the results of my mri? Yes i have the same fast heart beat cold feet cold chest numb hands had this since covid injection.

I have cold feet too and cold calves, painful muscles in thighs, calves, pelvis and feet too aswell as the fast very irregular heat beat abnormal though as it can be normal sometimes and out of the blue it will race up and send my body all fuzzy and weird.I myself have not had the covid injection. Yes I have the cold sensation at the moment as though my jeans are damp but they’re not. I told the neurologist but he didn’t comment what it was. My hands and feet go very cold and the burn. Very strange

I have the same thing standing up it feels like my trousers are damp cold clammy feet

I no this was 4 months ago but I'm getting areas feel cold and hot or feel like water is running down my face its so odd x
