Really?

Just getting dressed. Put bra on. It's killing my shoulders. Have to take it off. Going to try a sports bra. You ever just want to give up? Just stay in bed forever? I'm just like "really!" today.

Hi, welcome to our group. I have had fibro for 40 yrs. You do find ways to cope and adjust.

It's not a rule just a suggestion xx

I had the same problem, although I have lung problems and my lungs hurt.

I bought som bra let’s from Ama”””.

After a couple of months, they hurt as my lungs were worsening.

So I struggled on.

3 years later,I’ve lost 3 1/2 stone,,so the bra let’s are more comfortable to wear.

I’d thought about a sports bra,but when I looked at them I thought they would still give me pain.perhaps you could look before you buy.

I’d thought of trying a sleep bra from W Mother care, buti didn’t want to to order 1 online, because of issues round fitting.

I’m sorry to ramble on, but ,I have wasted money trying different things. Good luck ,let me know if you find anything x

Aw thanks for your reply. It's such a simple thing isn't it. A bra. But it can have a massive effect on ur day if u can't wear one or find one that's comfortable enough to wear. I may have to do some research! Xx

Yes I’m relieved to be able to wear something that resembles a bra.I’ve loads of proper bras, but I just can’t wear them.any pressure along the bra line is just so painful.

As m a D cup it was very uncomfortable without a bra.

I forgot to say,I had a brain wave,I dug a tankini swimsuit top out of a suitcase.I thought I might be able to wear it as a bra substitute.

WRONG.

Even thought it was only light compression,it hurt.

I had to take it off immediately.another brain wave hits’s the dust

Hi friends I also find it so hard to wear a bra that doesn't cause me pain ,I have spent a small fortune paying for expensive ones advertised on line and still they cause me pain .now i order from M&S and find that their non underwired ones post surgery feel better than all the others that I have bought .and they are not too expensive or small made like a lot of the more expensive brands .hope this helps good luck .

I have had a mastectomy and obviously find bras an issue but I would suggest looking at front fastening soft bras suitable for post surgery in Amoena or ??? and then look if you can buy something similar elsewhere that's more feminine...I find the bralets over yr head make me exhausted!!! Just crumple in a heap usually!

Do look at post surgery soft cotton ones they can feel lovely but obviously if you need loads of support there may be alternatives in non wired sections of same catalogue.

Good luck x

Pull your bralets on from the bottom like you're putting on your knickers (do both at same time), take off same way. Much easier, you can do it sitting down too x
