Fibro warriors! Do you get cycles/bouts of fatigue and brain fog?

At least once a month, I wake up with a brain fog, which just feels like I’m constantly tired and need to sleep. I also get dizziness, heart palpitations and lightheadedness. I’ve had blood tests to rule out other conditions but all samples came back clear. I was doing a bit of research and Fibromyalgia came up as one of the results. I have few symptoms but it really only affects me for a day in that month. I was curious to know if anyone gets a cycle of brain fog? The only way I can describe it is as a hangover without the night before of alcohol! Many thanks x

Hi, you could have CFS. Or just anxiety issues, I’m only going on how I feel with CFS, and all you say ticks all the boxes, doesn’t mean to say you have fm, possibly a related illness, I am no doctor, so I couldn’t say.Are you sleeping properly, or feeling drained, it’s a hard one to diagnose.

Took me years to get diagnosed with CFS and fm.

Keep a diary, and see how it affects you, and how frequent you are getting episodes.

Thank you, that’s really useful information! I’m not assuming I have any conditions but just what I’ve been reading, and I’ve never been given a proper reason by my GP. I’ve started to keep a diary. I have weird sleep patterns, sometimes I sleep great, or not at all and sometimes I’ll wake up at silly hours and wake up in 2 hour intervals. I couldn’t see much info on fibro fog so wanted to know a little more about it with someone other than a healthcare professional! Thank you x
