Numbness and pins and needles!

Hi all!

Hope everyone had a restful xmas and new year!

Bit of a query, over the last 3 months I've noticed my hands go numb and/or tingly randomly, usually lasts between 5- 20 minutes and there doesnt appear to be a pattern however it is getting more frequent.

Does anyone know if this is a fibro thing or should I be going to see the doctor?

Yes, I agree, I had the op a few years ago and it worked really well.

Have you been checked for B12 deficiency? Whilst you're at it have your thyroid checked as well as D, folate and ferritin. Good luck.

Thank you Karen, yes had multiple checks for deficiencies and thyroid issues before I was eventually diagnosed with fibro! Can't get a doctors appointment until end of Jan so I shall wait and see what they say!!

You can get a copy of your blood test results from reception. They sometimes say 'normal' when action/thyroxine is needed.

You should be able to ask a nurse if you can have B12 tested too.
