Fibro pain
I smear freeze gel over mine as it relieves some of the burning. If it is just my calves I put a lidocaine patch on. Hope you can find something to relieve it as it is a horrible feeling.x
Its in the fronton of my legs from top of my knees to my feet feels like someones drawing knife down them now my hands are playin up wish it go away shouldnt have to deal with this much pain at 26 x
Yes I sometimes get it in my hands as well. I find we washing my legs painful as any slight pressure along my shin bones hurts. You have my sympathy.x
Heyya I was given a gel called Zostrix, I've found it helps every now and then and it's a bit more effective if you take some pain medication with it, I just took paracetamol and nurofen. I mostly used it on my chest though to keep myself breathing.
I've experienced this for a while now also, you have days where you can't walk and days where it's tolerable. Just hope you find something that helps for you. Sucks to have it at a young age as it interferes with you life a lot, I'm just 19 this year so completely understand
Well im just wait for call back from doc im on duluxatine but its only 20mg most days i can cope by having a rest during the day but this time its bad its like im carrying to dead weights think iv over done it this week
Hello, i suffer terribly with my legs i take lots and lots of hot bath and also use deep heat to try and alleviate some of the pain. I been told to put some epsom salts in the bath so off to shops today! 😄
Feeling your pain. My legs are like concrete right now. If too painful to massage, a TENS machine might help. You can pick them up pretty cheaply on Amazon.
I would also highly recommend a foam roller. You need a squishy one - not a rock hard one or one with big bumps on. Look on physio websites. You basically lie on it and roll up and down. It sounds stupid...but I have found it works really well. It releases the fascia (google fascia and fibromyalgia if you want to know more) and this helps to ease the pain.
Elevating your legs and pumping your feet up and down can also help. If you have access to a physio who also does acupuncture, this can be a great way to relieve the muscle tension without massage.
Basically, my best advice is not to rely just on gels other topical treatments. Try to get to the actual muscles in a non-invasive way if you can.
A warm bath is always good though. Magnesium flakes as well as the Epsom salts others have recommended can be good.
Best of luck! x
Aww thankyou for the tips x
Thankyou, yes the epsom salts are expensive from local shops i will order online. X
Just had a call from doctors i'm going to have steroid injections on my legs next week! I had one years ago for my back , it didnt help but sure its worth having a go on my legs. Fed up of taking painkillers. They dont seem to do anything, paracetamol, naproxen tramadol or co-codsmol, anyone had sucess with anything different, i also have the same chronic pain in my right shoulder and down my arm. Lol
