Acute attack of gout

severe gout attack left big toe and ankle. spent 4 days in hospital, steroids, lidocaine patches and bed rest. On the mend now.

And then, I got really sick

I have pneumonia, more steroids, antibiotics, inhalers, more bed rest. I am trying to get up and walk about a bit each day and get outside for fresh air if even for a few minutes, but it's been raining cats and dogs so I've been binge watching HULU and Netflix

Talk about kicking a woman when she's down. I can commiserate with the pneumonia and all the extra meds. I have had the flu for 12 days and was getting worse so doctors this morning and have come away with another bag of meds. Been on them before and I know they make me feel even yucker but will tolerate it if they do the trick.

Take care don't do too much at once and hope you are feeling better soon.x

To add insult to injury, hospital called to tell me they did a blood culture and I have bacteria in my blood. Probably being admitted today [after I have a shower at home]. So I got pneumonia and a blood infection while in hospital and people seriously wonder why I don't want to be there!!
