Hi we don't know each other, but I sympathize with what you are going through, I get it think I'm having a heart attack --- but it is just another fibro symptom---don't panic --there doesn't seem to be any rhyme or reason to them, remember that how ever bad you are feeling the kids are generally unaware of it, don't know your circumstances but suggest you learn breathing techniques --also have you not had the condition long--you do learn coping strategics as you go along. Your children are obviously quite young, never underestimate them, if they know you love them then it's OK to say mummy doesn't feel well, as long as they know you are not well and it's not their fault or responsibility ---kids are wonderful.

if it was just palpatations, id say it was prob due to the fibro, but panic attacks arent a symptom as far as im aware? have had fibro for ten plus years but only diagnosed 3 years, used to have mild panic attacks as teenager but nothing like this!

its hard to tell kids anything when im hyperventillating and collapsing on the floor! my son is my carer and i am his, his condition makes him very sensitive and very astute to peoples emotions, especially mine and he does worry bless him, my daughter being 4 just cries!

they are used to me being poorly or in pain, but this !

Nadine hun I went through this once in my life when my little one was so very ill and in picu,I was having to learn how to put catheters down his nose to his tummy draw off fluid and check I had tummy and not lung. And a lot of other very unpleasant things.

I passed out one time on the ward without warning, and for a week while they checked I didn`t have epilepsy I couldn`t hold him or do anything,

It turned out to be exstreme stress and I was hyperventilating. The Proffesor looking after my late boy said Jayne there is a trick to this. When you feel the tiggling and you feel you are breathing too fast.

You take the paper that you will always cary on you now and you cup it round your mouth and nose breath in and out till you feel better.

When we get anxious we shallow breath so are taking back in too much carbon dioxide, this is what makes us faint, it`t the fright or flight theory.

way too much adrenaline running through you.

You are obviously under a lot of stress and strange as it may seem it can happen out of the blue even when YOU think you are relaxed.

The staff one night when my boy was home (they had known us 10 months) phoned and said they would babysit while we went out for an evening and could pick him up in the morning.

Lovely we thought.I felt strange throughout dinner but did not want to blow in and out of a bag in front of everyone. You guessed it I went face first into my spag bol.More embaressing than blowing in and out a bag I`ll tell you.

Try it hun but please please see your doctor as soon as possible.

all my love and support to you Jayne xxxxx

Please try to calm yourself down, there must be some trigger to have made you panic can you not think of anything? but the best thing is to book and see your GP monday morning and explain everything to them and hopefully he/she can help you work through issues may have lve to you diddle x

Hi nadine,

I used to get them and i went to cab, and i have to say i havent had one since.

I still get some anxiety but it is so much better than it was.

I only had to go once every two weeks for about 10 sessions. I know everyone is different and some doctors have different timescales, but i think it is worth a try if you can.

Hi Nadine,

Sorry to hear about this. I suffer from these as well and rceently started Duloxetine which has been helping a bit. Im also on a waiting list for CBT which the doc thinks might help. Maybe you can try?

Also, try to avoid things or thoughts that stress you out.

Hugs

:)
