HRT AND FIBRO

Childcareassessor profile image

Hi. I'm new to this and went to see my doctor recently. He said I probably do have FM alongside menopause. Last year I had to have all my girl bits removed due to large growths everwhere. Quite traumatic. I am taking HRT and its really helping my FM. Not as painful on left side now and its only day 4. I also take sertraline for anxiety and that's helping too. I'm hoping to avoid narcotics as I'm reading awful stories about them.

Hi there, you’ve got the right attitude avoiding drugs wherever possible. I’ve heard that putting a teaspoon of powdered ginger or some rosemary when cooking helps with natural pain relief. 😊

Thank you, I'll try that.

Also have you looked at the foods you eat? Might help to start a food diary. Just a thought.

I'm not sure what you are asking. I have been taking Sertraline for 5 years, the only problem I have had is the sweating.

I have MS and on HRT, no parts same issue...when I started on HRT immediately a difference.Seeing I have heart issues discussion and deep investigation thatHRT in some can help while in others risky.Less medication the better of course but a pain management doc can help your concerns...anything can be hard to stop...even asprin but pain meds especially.I use heat cold massage, electric blanket to offset.I was diagnosed fibro first.I swear by my vitamins.....
