I’m in a locked up fibromyalgia flare unfortunately I have severe acid refkux so meds can’t do. Glad the cocktail is helping. You can try to up the dose see how you do. Are you doing breathing exercises a few times a day ?? It’s important to do and moving though hard in flare do it anyway. Also eating super clean ? No coffee no tea no to low sugar no acidic foods low god map. It makes a big diff in fibromyalgia and low stress. I find spinach helps & water & clean foods. I’m not in anything right now it’s rough.

Hi Brookesy can I just clarify do you mean amitriptyline?

I do sorry

No bother, I take 20mg amitriptyline per day I find that helps. If you have a cold and whatnot as well you will definitely feel so much worse! What other questions did you have about Fibromyalgia that may help you?

Thank you where to start lol so frustrated but iv managed to get back to work full time I drive a lorry so its slot of sitting down I do struggle tho and get panicky every day do most people still work as normal ect does this ever go into remission or is it always a struggle

in reply to Brookesy123

hey personally i work full time yes and at times it’s harder than others, during a flare up it can limit what you do but when not in a flare some people can just “live normally”. what is making you get panicky?

in reply to Brookesy123

me again I can have a flare up lasting days or weeks or even just a few hours. And it can just like that “hit you” and knock you for six. stress is a known factor for flare up so if you can minimise stress (admittedly I find that hard!) people say it can help. Fibromyalgia isn’t just a one size fits all condition unfortunately. Are you on any medications right now?

Okay, it is a bit trial and error with medications & therapies. It took me a number of years to find what worked for me and even then that frequently changes! I am 33 & I am now on 9 different medications

Have you thought about seeing a pain consultant/specialist? pain is a nasty thing can really affect mood, appetite for life and personal aspects - hence why it is important to really get your pain under control.
