Waking up with lower back, arm & leg pain

Every morning I’m waking up early with pain in my lower back, the right arm I’m leaned on & leg. Does anyone else get anything similar with their Fibromyalgia? Only been diagnosed about 3 months. Thanks.

Hi there, welcome to our group :) I'm just wondering did you have this kind of pain in all these areas before you were diagnosed? Or have they started or got worse since been diagnosed?

Hi, thanks for your reply, sorry I’m late getting back to you. The pain started a few years ago when walking but an MRI of lumbar spine ruled out sciatica. Then I started with pains in my knees, especially when ascending & descending stairs.. x rays & blood tests all normal. But more recently it’s been waking up to the pain early morning. Also, I will check my settings.. Thanks for your advice xx

Yes every day.

Hi, yes that sounds like myself x

Yes, and getting moving is the only thing that helps. That’s difficult as I’m walking, stooped, supporting myself on the bed to just get to the bedroom door. But once I get upright and walking a bit the pIn and stiffness lessen. I saw my chiropractor yesterday and she suggested stretching excises.

Hi

Sorry to but in.

Just wondering, does your chiropractor help ease your pain ? How are you feeling tonight ? Love and hugs Lynne xxxx

She’s helped with the headaches. I have a spine that over rotates and gets stuck, freeing up my neck and shoulders helps.

For the past few weeks I’ve had sciatica, on top of the usual fibro stiffness and pain. She’s only treated this once and it’s not helped so far. I’ve got another treatment booked next week and I’m hoping that helps as it’s too expensive to keep going weekly.

It’s the same old thing, if I can keep moving the sciatica loosens and the pain goes, but keeping moving uses up too many energy spoons as I crash and burn after a couple of days.

She’s given me some stretching exercises to do and they hurt like hell but I think they’re helping.

Hi

How are you feeling tonight? Do you manage to sleep ok? I can an hour or less sleep per night due to pain cos of my many conditions. Please take care of yourself Lynne
