I had sinus problems for years, especially when the pollen starts in the early spring. Try this: fill a mug 3/4 full with tomato juice. Add 1 teaspoon of lemon juice, 1/2 teaspoon Tabasco sauce and at least one Clive of garlic, crushed. Stir and heat. Drink 2 mugs of this a couple of hours apart.

Not nearly as awful as it sounds and it works every time.

I started having this problem about a year ago. I came across a old used book by Gwynne H. Davies N.D. M.N.T.O.S. on Overcoming Food Allergies & started reading it yesterday. He recommendations patients who go to the regular lot of doctors to no avail for sinus issues should at least try the elimination method to test for allergies to foods. He recommends drinking Malvern water during this time too. He found in his practice that a basic food ingestion could ‘trigger’ what we are experiencing in some patients when the adrenal glands are unable to cope.

Have you had any experience with anything along this line before? I had been thinking of doing a elimination food trial anyway. Should it clear up my sinuses I’ll post.

Hi Clarissa, Curious to know whether your elimination diet helped with the sinus issues?

I think I have the same issue! A lot of different foods seem to impact on head inflamation.

Thank you

I am afraid this was just one of my many good intentions. The pandemic rolled around & completely altered what I access /eat because I have been relying on what is available through home deliveries. I am drinking better quality water now, but have racked up a dyspepsia diagnosis from much different food selections. A bout of food poisoning didn’t help either (I think the summer has helped out my sinuses for now by the way).

I was thinking the other day that until I start preparing all my own foods from scratch nothing will change. Thanks for reminding me of what I should be doing in the elimination department, please inquire later!

The only thing I have found of help in over 30 years of hay fever and sinus issues is a sinus wash...it is simply the best thing for me....my symptoms have been reduced dramatically which is a blessing as there's enough going on with the fibromyalgia!
