Does anyone have excessive pain actually in shoulder joint?
No a trigger/tender point but on movement especially trying to get arm behind hip and towards your back.
I had one rotation cuff dealt with 2 + years ago and yep the other shoulder is playing up.
My overall pain levels change daily as do most with Fibro.
There is arthritis on shoulder but they say just wear & tear.
It should be called wear & tears!
So do I go down the injection route again with Physio or just ay hay you fixed one shoulder with a day case so lets cut(pardon pun) out the palava and get an op?

Hi both me and my hubby suffer with this problem. After been x rayed a few weeks ago nothing showed up. Fortunately a follow up ultra sound was booked. This did show calcium deposits that had built up because of the inflamation hence so much pain. Physio/injection was offered. But was basicly told it would not cure it and the injection won't last for ever. Was told it was not worth operating on. So the upshot was just have to grin and bare it.
skit , I know how you feel as I suffer with bursitis in my shoulders. My is really bad in the morning.I try to work as much as I can, it seems to help the rest of the day.Good luck.Peck.🐤
You haven't got what they call a Frozen shoulder have you as your symptoms sound so similar to two of my friends who both had that condition. Neither if them could reach behind their backs and it was extremely painful. Just a thought. Do hope you can find some resolution to this problem as fibro is bad enough on its own without added problems.x
I am so genuinely sorry to read this and I do have a pain in my right shoulder which I was told was arthritis. However, as rosewine says what you have described sounds more akin to frozen shoulder? I would talk to your doctor about this just to have other medical conditions ruled out of the equation.
I want to sincerely wish you all the best of luck, and please take care of yourself.
I know how you feel. I have dreadful pain in both upper arms, inflamed lymph nodes in both armpits. It is agony to scratch my back and getting clothes on and off. Have had a CT scan which was normal so at least this is just another part of fibro. There are about 150 symptoms all together so that is why the syndrome is so complex. My advice to anyone who has recently been diagnosed would be to get out and do as much as you possibly can to take your mind off it. Not easy when you feel shocking I know but I also know that it's a very depressing illness because we actually look OK.
Your right there is so many symptoms that go with fibro I actually have a massage every three weeks and it does help, she actually diagnosed me before the Dr's did try and keep on smiling a laugh a day is better then a pill, not that they help much :>)
I'm going to pain clinic in October see what they have in mind, physio doesn't work for me, just try to go for a walk when I can manage it. I have osteo arthritis in my hip and cervical and lumbar spondylosis. This affects my shoulder and arms so it maybe your discs in your neck causing referred pain into your shoulder. Hope your feeling better x
