Hi, nanbob sorry to hear about your eyes.

It sounds to me as if you have an eye infection.

If you go to the Pharmacy they can have a look and perhaps suggest some drops or ointment.

In the meantime, only use cooled boiled water, and cotton pads . Wipe from the inside of your eye (nose side) out. Change the pad each time you wipe, and discard after, as otherwise you’re just going to spread the infection .

Hope this helps.

GP. 😊😊

Hi

As Greenpeace suggest

But look up Blepharitis

May help to hold hot compress over the eye

Just till you can see GP

Bob.

SOME bay products are strong in perfumes and can make matters worse, just buy simple Double Base Gel, I rub it on eye lids up nostrels in ears and all over body really, I use it in the shower too as my skin is very dry with sjorgrens plus age!

Hi Nanbob, I think Rose54’s idea is worth looking at. I had this and my optician recommended some wipes which cleared it up.

Yes Moorfields eye specialist told me that he sees many fibromyalgia suffers with dry eyes blepharitis etc. I have suffered many years with both. recommended blephaclean wipes , hylo forte eye drops these help a lot. Taking flaxseed oil and eating oily fish is recommended. I am sorry you are suffering.

According to hubby's eye surgeon, who recently tried correcting double vision in one eye, you are doing the right thing with baby shampoo and wiping eye. I think boiled water or sterile is good too. The Dr. Also said to use hot compresses several times a day which is a pain in the neck to keep doing. My hubby's eye is healed but is still red. Hope this helps.

My eye trouble is different....eyesight changes due to Fibro. M.A. In USA

Blepharitis is the bane of my life! Or was, but chemist friend of mine recommended blephaclean wipes and lotion. The wipes are really good, I noticed a difference after just one day, they are expensive but I get them on repeat now. Hope this helps xx
