Hi everyone, my name is Pip and Fibro is only one of my issues.

I had a Lignocaine infusion 1 week ago today, it has not worked and i am in agony still , at my wits end any ideas?

No point going to the Dr, as they wont help any further as the pain clinic has control over my pain now.

I have osteoarthritus in my knees and back

Tendonitus in both achilles

Bakers cysts in both kneecaps which 1 ruptured at christmas and ended up in hospital

Anxiety and depression

Fibroids

I am registered disabled

Constant pain but as like others invisible disability.

Any advice would be welcome

Thanks x

Hi

I know it's so hard when you have many conditions. I have been prescribed duloxetine, just got to wait and see if it helps. I'm on allsorts of meds, I've got to be checked regularly while I'm on duloxetine cos of the side effects from it!! I thought that's typical, find something that might work and then might not be able to take it!!, No side effects yet🤞 take care Lynne

I have IBS, diverticulitis, gastritis, costochondritis, diabetes, Nash ( caused by meds from my drs over the years) under active thyroid, depression, sciatica, been referred to orthopaedics re sciatica and may be a herniated disc (not sure yet) sweating profusely which they think my liver is the cause and spondylitis to name but a few!! My son said am I trying to get something for every letter of the alphabet!!! Take care Lynne

Ps sorry for rabbiting on!!

I find going between a tens machine, hot water bottle, heat pads can help a little. Keeping my mind busy can sometimes help too otherwise I end up just thinking of the pain and what I can't do anymore. I find music makes me feel better.

Hi Pip, just typed out a long msg to you then somehow lost it when I dropped my iPad, so gonna condense this one, sorry. 💜

Wondering if you've tried CBD oil?

I've been on it approx 18mnths. First started taking it to help with pain from Fibro/osteoarthritis. Started on 300mgs (3%) and slowly worked up til I was on 1500mgs (15%). Didn't think it was doing much to begin with but then realised I was able to do much more without becoming so exhausted. Thought if that's all I got from it then I was happy with that but then, as wks went on, started to help my pain too, so double whammy!

If you're gonna try, make sure you get from reputable place as there's a lot of folk jumping on the bandwagon, so to speak, but there are lots of good ones too.

I personally, get from 'CBD Brothers' and they are very good if you want/need to email or phone them, for advice on starting dose or whether oil or paste would suit you best etc. I have also bought from 'Love CBD' and 'Hope CBD' but neither go up to the strength I need now. You can also get CBD balm and other products.

I couldn't survive without it now! Previously I had to take a nap almost every day and I can honestly say, I can't remember the last time I had a daytime nap!

It's not cheap but I think it's worth every penny. A 30mg sized bottle, (you get 10 mg sized ones too), lasts me approx 2 months.

Good luck. 🌹

Sorry, maybe should have said to check with your pain clinic first but, to be honest, I know that my GP and psychiatrist doesn't know much about it. XXX

Hi, thanks for the info, it is something else to look into, i will try anything, but yes i will check with my pain consultant first.

Due a telephone consultation in the next few weeks so will bring it up then 😊

Yes Pip, anything is worth a try!

If you do go ahead with it, make sure you take it very regularly, esp to begin with, and give it a good chance. You can build up the strength gradually until you find it the strength that helps and suits you best. There's no point in going over the strength that helps you coz then you're just wasting your money.

I hope you find relief.

Big hugs. x
