I get twitches in my legs. Mainly in the evening. I never thought it could be related to Fibromyalgia though. Id always thought it was hereditary as my mother suffered with it for many year. How do you treat your symptoms please?

Ok...first cal-mag supplement at night. Vitamin D double dose. Fibromyalgia is a compounded imbalance. It is NOT a disease. It affects certain types of people, mostly women. And those women are usually EMPATHS. The framework needs to change surrounding and defining "fibromyalgia". It is truly the physical breakdown of an Empath's physique. By the time these symptoms are presented, long standing emotional issues have been ignored or a trauma triggered and "the pain" is dormant reaction within the body. Most sufferers are severely malnourished and are exhausted. They have completely taxed their thyroid, adrenal glands, and gut. Everyone on this forum needs to book end this imbalance with two modalities and two comprehensions: emotional trauma that has manifested into physical trauma and taxed the hell out of the body.

Detox your s**t. Your emotional s**t. Support your emotional well being, above all. Love yourself and treat and eat accordingly. Stay outta and away from negative anything. You are an empath and yeah, you absorb it. Start vitamin supplementing NOW. No coffee and no sugar and no grain. Get massages and sleep with lavender oil. Exercise but no cardio, yet. Yoga, mediate. And surround yourself with people who love you and act like it. Mirror work with kind phrases journal gratitude and acknowledge your beauty and gifts. Congratulate and embrace yourself....You are an EMPATH😍

poppycock is an underused word I find. From reading this I find out that I am an empath and had a gender change when I was not looking.

Some points may be worth followup like the diet suggestions but the rest is without foundation.

Synergy is the bonus that is achieved when things work together harmoniously.

Just where illness starts no Dr can tell you,,, or why,,, and they can cure nothing, fact, their "Theories" are exectly that,, nothing more, nothing less, just Theories.

The body heals it's self, but what are the right conditions?

Alopathic medcine asside from it's pretence and paid for papers and studies is nothing more than a religion,, a system of belief,, and propaganda is not going to save it!

I think it very obvoius that we are seeing the downfall of medication people are turning away form it faster and faster,, there's a reason for that!

Insulin, chemotherapy, penicillin, neutralisation of AIDS, are just some of the examples of this so called alopathic medicine working. The current measles epidemics are just one of the examples of this anti science movement and using pseudo science and bad practice to further conspiracy theories.

Talking about chucking the baby out with the bath water. I am attending a conference with thousands of medical professionals coming together to agree good practice and updater knowledge. On balance hcps and researchers are trying to good and cynical views like this do them a disservice. They are reflective and willing to improve on the body of knowledge and be self critical.

We will have to agree to disagree des,, I will never convince you and you will never convince me of your beliefs!

When we have a Dr's that go through what is supposed to be a degree in medicine knowing little to nothing about food and thinking medicine begins and ends with chemicals,, yet can't say why cells go wrong then it is not medicine and more akin to one sided Quackery for huge profits,, but people are questioning and making decisions. Drug companies have got away with to much for to long and it will not continue as people educate themselves and learn from those who were brave enough to say NO keep your drugs!

Interesting that your include chemotherapy in your examples,, I would certainly not call chemotherapy it's statistics origins or history a success story,, not close.

Delighted to hear about the thousands of medical professionals trying to agree good practice,, consensus by any other name,, no doubt there are lots of lectures, I wonder who sponsored that!

When we have the same companies producing toxic chemicals to put on the food while creating the "medicines" to treat the rot we have a problem!

Huston,,, We have A Problem,,, it is nothing to do with conspiracy theory and everything to do with profit and need for more. We live in a sick society one that neither medicine or money will fix as the problem is greed and impoverished mentalities, nothing more nothing less.

I have started to adopt that attiude, as I believe we are pumped too many drugs into us these days and without a lot of research. Morever, I believe it's to fund the big pharmo companies.

I was recently diagnosed with Fibromyalgia, which can be brought on, following traumatic events, operations etc. Ive had 2 traumatic events within a year (my mother passed away and I lost contact with my gorgeous twin grandchildren) which my GP has had no interest in and I've also had several operations. I also went through a divorce, sold our home and had to move home, went to college at the age of 52 and struggled to get over the operations at the same time.

The moral of the story is that my GP has given me antidepressants, gabapentin, co-codamol and amitriptyline to help me through. After months of feeling even worse because of the effects of them and the drowsiness, I have decided to join exercise classes, Pilates, stretch and Aqua swim. I am also trying to adopt a diferent attitude and frame of mind to life, my traumas and pain.

This is because I had no quality of life. Also that I cannot understand how a GP can say that by ruling out things that I haven't got, gives him the conclusion that I have Fibromyalgia. Despite confirming that there is no test that can confirm that I do have Fibromyalgia. Yet he felt it was ok to pump me full of drugs that would keep me housebound and I feel pharmo companies very happy.

I also saw a physiotherapist who advised me to try and stay clear of the likes of Gabapentin and that the exercise would be of more benefit.

It is only early days for me and I am still in pain, but I am managing to get out of the house. More than I can when i'm doped up with strong medications.

I'm not sure if there are others that feel this way. It would be interesting to know. Thank you for taking the time to read this 😃

Suzzie,

I would say just be carefull, not about your decision to stop all the chemicals but in setting your goals.

I think one of the most important things to be aware of it that there are auctualy three different types of stress.

Mental,,,the one that everybody knows about.

Phisical,, just watch what your body is staying and try to be sensible.

Systemic,, and this encompasses a huge amout of things,, it is putting your system under stress,,, liver kidneys muscels stomach heart,,, things like dehydration,, eating habits,, weight,,, loosing weight,, drugs,, chemicals,, and trying to get regular rest.

Each type of stress has exectly the same effect on the body of the fibro paitent.

Some seem to recover better than others but I don't think to many get over it fully,, just ways to get through as best they can.

The god complex attitude of Dr's is very yesterday and dying a death,, they only have Opinions based on what they are told by the "studies" which are allways paid for in one way or the other by industry,, the funding of which is usualy filtered and disguised in a smoke and mirrors environment through collages universities and sponsored companies and laboratories. Dr's are never wrong in their minds,,it's so sad.

Dr's today are not free to make decisions on how to treat as thy are dictated to,, it is also obvious that big pharma are discontent with their gross profits and want us all medicated with their wares even if that means using govenment thugs and their "Acts and Statutes" that people mistake for LAW. The revolving doors of government for lobbists, into the welcoming arms and pockets of politicians.

They get what they want by written change, and we are ment to comply.

Their is not limits to the tactics used to decieve,, it is all about and controled by the exchange of "COIN" and all seem to have their price, be it Universities,, Labs,, politicians, Papers,, TV,, Actors it's all paid for propaganda but people are starting to GET IT,, they are learning to trust their instinct.

I believe adressing the diet is the number one,,, but what dose that mean.

I think we are evolved primates it's as good a place to start as any!

you are right that we will not agree but I think your anti medicine / science views are not mainstream and worry me. Chemotherapy is one of the worst treatments the NHS offers but it is better than the alternative which is death.

Hi Suzzieb23...... I have RLS and take a very low dose of pramipraxole (drug used for Parkinson’s) at night, it helps me no end. Also quinine is very good for this, I believe you only get it in the expensive tonic waters now(fevertree). Have a go with it first as it might just do the trick for you. Oh add some gin if you like it, it would be rude not too 😜. Hope this helps

Thank you for your reply. I had heard that quinine was good for it. Although I hadnt realised it had to be the expensive tonic. The added Gin makes it extra tempting 😉

Hi, I have had terrible problems with restless legs since the start of my fibromyalgia. Went to the doctors and he prescribed quinine tablets. It has just been what I needed because before that my legs were so frustrated at night every night. The only problem Is that for some reason a lot of doctors won’t prescribe it luckily for me mine did.
