Hi , I noticed a post about Restless legs I know from personal experience how horrible this problem can cause I had at one time 4 days and night with an attack and despite my other health problems in which I couldn't as a rule stay awake for hours let alone days!! I am now and for 4 years approx been on Pramipexole, I had suffered with it for 40 years or more but, I didn't think there was any help to be had it was only when I was at my Dr's just having been diagnosed with R A ect . I had suffered a rearly terrible attack that carried on for days in total desperation I mentioned it to my Dr, straight away out came a leaflet pages and pages explaining it was a condition that had been recognized for many yes in fact, the condition is named after the Dr who discovered it, but, I have to say (RESTLESS LEGS) I NOT the diagnostic term that escapes me for the moment, I will mention it doesn't cure it and you usually need the dosage increased because your body because your body becomes acclimatised to the dosage you are prescribed But it does HELP!!! I hope that helps. P .S. If anyone knows of anything else that works it would be good to know! Best wishes .

Have also been on Pramepexole for restless legs for several years, have to take it couple of hours before going to bed. Have only increased from one to two tablets and they seem to be very effective.

Hi, I take three a night and in the main they do help tremendously I certainly wouldn't like to not have them, I still do get restless legs at times but, like I said they are a great help, I think p/haps in my case I have bad circulation I had a DVT when I was just 18 years old(many years ago) so p/haps that doesn't help!! Anyway glad to hear how good it works for you.

Thank you Janice. I too have had restless for a number of years on and off, my Mother also had it and I now understand it sometimes runs in family's. I have been prescribed Ro,pinirole ? sorry if the spelling is wrong, I have not taken any of this medicine yet as I am trying to sort out headaches, but will keep your message.

Just spotted your piece on restless leg syndrome. I had this after having a knee replacement operation. I was told to take B12. I bought complete B from the healtg shop which is a mixture of B1 B6 and B12. It works for me. Just one tablet a night it completely stopped it. Hope this helps.

Thanks.brilliant , although my medication is in the main a great help and for that I am unbelievable thankful, only someone who as endured this problem will understand how desperate you can feel, so I will definitely get some of this to try and will update on how it works for me, again thankyou.

I alway use my tens machine it helps by blocking the pain and after a few hours the pain does in fact go for quite a long time, you need to start with it on low then increase the volume but it should never be too high that it hurts ,just so it kind of covers the pain , I do recommend it , but have patients with it , it doesn’t magic the pain away as soon as you use it , and keep it on your legs for quite a long time,

Hope you all keep pain free

I find cutting out caffeine late evening helps to reduce a bad bout of restless legs. I seem to suffer more when so tired due to lack of sleep. Hope you find some relief. 🍁
