Hi all, I'm having this treatment Mon 29th in Day surgery, and Iv not heard of it before or anyone that's had it, can anyone shed light on this for me ?

they've told me that I'll be connected to ECG as it can issues whilst having it, also that my blood pressure can instantly drop (Dr has assured me they'll be ready for either of these) "they better be" xx

Hi Anita, if you do a Google search you will find lots of info. This link is info from just one hospital wsh.nhs.uk/CMS-Documents/Pa...

Sorry I don’t have any personal experience of this. We’ll all be interested to know if it helps though.

Good luck.

I too have heard of these infusion but never experienced them and also heard about IV Myers Cocktail that is said to be useful for Fibro, however the latter would be a privately paid treatment. Do let us know how it goes................... Are they monitoring you with ECG and blood pressure as this is the procedure or due to dysautonomia like Postural Orthostatic Tachycardia Syndrome (POTS) for instance? Best of Luck :)

Yes I'll have an ECG when I arrive and blood pressure taken , then they'll monitor with ECG during the procedure, I haven't heard of POTS, thanks and I'll post how I get on 😀

POTS is common in the ME & Fibro community and diagnosed usually by having a tilt table test. Wishing you all the best :)

Ok so Iv had the treatment and survived, my heart was ok, blood pressure was dropping every 5 mins for 20 mins then upon down, the infusion took an hour, I didn't have it but they'd said I need to tell them if any tingling or numbness in my lips n they'd stop and stabilise me, nothing happened re this and it would only happen whilst I'm actually having the treatment, however the next day (mon) I had fizzing in my lips n Yesterday Iv come out with a huge cold sore above my top lip, one by my nose and 6 all along the edge of my bottom lip, in agony, seems a bit of a coincidence🤔so they said I'd be very tired for about a week and hopefully start getting some effect, we shall see x

Morning all, Iv now had the IV of lignocaine 3 weeks tomo, i had great hopes for this to work, unfortunately I have felt no benefit from it so far and I'm sure Dr said it would help mire or less straight away, I'm on the list for a 2 dose but at follow up to this one I'm sure she will cancel it, very disappointed 😢
