I am looking for an Hydrotherapy pool or a swimming pool with warm water (for an adult not child) in the SK1 area. most pools here are freezing and make my muscles a lot worse. anybody any ideas? there are some hydro's for canines but not for us humans, seems we look after our dogs better than ourselfs. Thanks..

Dont know if we,ve met at St Hill, I had A.S and luckily it went into remission, I used to go to the weekly group therapy and we had sessions in the pool, I was very annoyed when we came to the end of the sessions that they told us we coldnt use the pool anymore, I do hope that has changed, if you want to start going again, you need to ask Kathy Gordon senior physio.I go monday evenings , theer are other sessions.

Hi I haven't been to that but my aunt went to it, as my family lived in Stockport when I was at school.

I am glad we look after our dogs as I have one. But it would be nice if we did the same for us humans Lol.

Hi hun if by SK1 you mean stockport where I am?? Stepping hill has one, manchester royal has one and there is a lovely warm pool at jacksons Lane swimming baths BUT- you need referal from physio or rheumatologist to use the Nhs ones. I joined a self help group after 6 sessions on NHS its 30 for 6 sessions

Hi if it is not too far for you to travel there is the one I go to at Warrington. I was refered by my Dr and do sessions in the warm small pool with other adults with health issues but it is also for general public at other times. They also do women only sessions in both the large cold pool and the small warm pool. If you go on the internet it is the Jubilee Centre Swimming pool and gym in Warrington. Hope this helps, Elaine xx
