Hi and welcome see you ride we do too it’s the only thing that keeps us going.

What kind of advice do you want ? 🤨 Best advice listen to your body and find a painkiller that works for you and get the right amount of sleep 😴 easier said then done . 🐎

Hi Bobby, thanks for the advice. The Rheumatologist I saw this morning has drilled into me the importance of sleep and pacing myself. It's good to have the horses. They make me get up and get going! I haven't done any jumping this year, but managed a few dressage tests.

We have only been riding about six years at local stables no jumping just up, down and around fields had week in Wales 🏴󠁧󠁢󠁷󠁬󠁳󠁿 last year and doing trans Wales September. When down parents go riding in new forest 🌳 for hour or two. Wish could do more but I do more then group I ride with once aweek need to move on but not much round our way but hopefully down parents most of August so will get out more there.

Pacing is the hardest to do as when filling ok you forget but you always pay for it after.

hi Heke

Welcome to the FMAUK Community ! Which I hope you will find is a helpful and supportive place to be ! There's lots of posts to read and many lovely members to talk to about Fibro.

If you have not already done so, please take a look at the FMA UK website fmauk.org where you will find much more information, plus the opportunity to request a patient information pack or health professionals pack.

As a newbie, please can I mention that members prefer to answer posts that are locked to this community only. If you wish to do this, here's a link that explains how to do it;

I hope you enjoy being part of our community

Hi HeKe, how has your day been? I find microwaveable heat pads very good or an Epsom salt bath. Tens machine works on my legs too (about £15 from Lloyd’s pharmacy). Finding the right medication can take a while so you need to be patient with that. As Bobby said pacing is important but I haven’t worked that out myself yet 😀😀
