Hi babs116 have you looked at claiming pip?
Hi Babs 116 and Welcome....So sorry to hear you have Fibro + and I think you have come to the right place for advice...but unfortunately I cannot assist you with the new system but someone will point you in the right direction....we have our own Benefits Advisor but she is away until 17th October. You can make an appointment to see CABureau and they will help...I just wanted to say Hello and hope you can get things sorted pretty soon and without too much hassle...Hugs xxx
Hi
There are so many of us in the same position as yourself, as suggested contact CAB and also advisor on here when she returns. Benefits I get are PIP and ESA, because I'm on my own I get housing benefit and reduced council tax also contact you electricity and gas suppliers as you may qualify for their winter allowance scheme.
Good luck and a warm welcome to you xx
Hi so sorry you are in this position. As Janet is away why don't you look on the Gov.UK site just type in benefits in their search box. This will bring you to a whole lot if headings about benefits. Chose the one that say Benefit Calculators and you can. Then chose a site and type in your own personal circumstances and hopefully it will then tell you what benefits you could apply for. Best of luck.x
Thank you everyone for your kind responses and advice
Xxx
Hi Babs116
Welcome to the forum and it is wonderful to make your acquaintance. I have pasted you a link below to the FMA UK benefit adviser but I believe that Janet is off until the 10th?

There are two main benefits that you could apply for PIP and ESA. I have pasted you the links about them below:
gov.uk/employment-support-a...
I want to sincerely wish you all the best of luck, and please take care of yourself.
All my hopes and dreams for you

Hi if your on low income you can talk to your electric company and water board for the discount scheme, housing benefit and council tax reduction from the council. I know people have said pip and esa. However you may qualify for income support rather than esa depending on your circumstances if you apply for that and they think your entitled to anything else They will send forms out. Hope this helps x
Hi if you get in touch with the DWP they should be able to help you. You should be entitled to pip at least" you can work & claim that I know love Andrea xxx
