My neck keeps swelling up at the sides , this is relatively knew , has anyone else had this x

I'd advice that you see your GP, as not everything can be put down to fibro. x

Is it a lymph node swelling? That's usually a sign of infection ( I had it with glandular fever and cat scratch fever) but really should be checked with a doctor.

Hello, do you think the swelling could be raised or enlarged lymph nodes , as we have a "chain" of lymph glands that run up both sides of our neck.? This would suggest that maybe you have some infection or virus going on? Have you had a cold recently?

I would get it checked out by your doctor. I often have raised lymph glands in my armpits, at first I got really worried about it, thinking dreadful things like breast cancer, but my doctor could not find any reason, so eventually decided it was due to my fibromyalgia causing enhanced sensitivity of my immune system.

Please ask your doctor, xxx

Got an appointment for next Monday , it’s just above my collar bone seems to be coming and going , but yes docs it is , thanks. Guys x

30 years ago I had a neck like a pelican. It was a thyroid nodule so had an op and was fine after. Yes, unfortunately it left a scar across my neck and me taking thyroxine ever since. A small price to pay. Go to your G P and get checked with at least a blood test. Put your mind at ease. I wish you well and take care xxxx

Recently had full bloods done , everything came back normal . So don’t think it’s a thyroid issue , but then again am no doc lol x
