Swelling in hands and feet
I swell and I have read on here others swell too so possibly hope that helps xxxx
Thank you just wanted some reassurance as its not just swelling of joints I can't wear rings either as I had to have my engagement ring cut off at the hospital as my finger swelled to big I couldn't get it off it was so scary I still had the indentation for a couple of weeks
I have swelling but I have sjorgrens and lupus and other stuff going on , I can't wear ring had them resized 4 times really expensive most annoying 😒
Phorpain 10% gel I have tryed other gels but someone on here suggested it and I have to say it's brilliant the best thing I have been given for my hands to date ,
You'll find your symptoms change regularly it's like you get one thing undercontrol and something else starts up , know two days the same 😤
I'm the same, I have 3 wedding rings & all diff sizes, 1 day one will fit next it wont need bigger, then shrink back down so gave up trying
I am so genuinely sorry to read that you are experiencing inflammation and I sincerely hope that you can find some resolution to this issue. A GP or Rheumatologist will tell you that Fibro is not an inflammatory illness, and therefore any swellings are related to other medical conditions. I am not a doctor therefore I cannot disagree with their analogy.
I have swelling in my ankles and feet, and I have now been diagnosed with Lymphedema. I would discuss the problem with your GP or Medical Specialist just to get other illnesses ruled out of the equation. I want to sincerely wish you all the best of luck.
All my hopes and dreams for you
Ken
Oh yes im like a puffer fish i swell so much and my face also swells x
The swelling in my hands especially in the morning is one of the first things I noticed when i was diagnosed with Fibro. It hurts to wash my hands in the early morning. Can't put rings on in the morning. Luckily they seem to get back to 'normal' as the day goes on. It may seem to get better for a month or two and then it will come back. Same as many of the symptoms of Fibro. They plague you for weeks/months, disappear and then back they come. Such fun!!
I get that too. I rarely wear rings anymore, including my wedding ring, not because of swelling as I don't tend to get that, but just because I find it irritating and uncomfortable. I also have "thickened" joints in some of my fingers but I just put that down to arthritis which is also in my family. Maybe it is more related to fibro.
My ankles swell a bit, but not so much my feet, hands swell when its cold or hot.
Thank you everyone for your great advice at least I no I'm not going mad yes I have been to the doctors about this it's been going on for 2 years now I'm going to go back and ask to be referred to a rheumatologist because I have so many different symptoms
