I'm currently doing hydro did my 6 sessions now i pay on self management and i love it and it does help as long as i don't do too much. I'm slowly learning to pace myself and listen to my body no matter how frustrating it can be. Try cutting your sessions down to 30 mins to start with and just walk slowly for a bit if the stretches start feeling painful. I find thats working most of time for me its still easy to over do it though cause everything feels so much easier in water. Hope u feel better soon x

I have continued my hydro sessions now for many years and i too use a self help group 5 quid a session,,its the 6 weeks wait for the next sessions that do me no good and so I am using a local jacuzzi late evening when most people are having evening meals, so i have it to myself.

I did a wee bit of swimming 10 strokes or something lol , bath is gonna need to wait in bed now co-codemol it is .

Cold water hun?? terrible for fibro find a warm pool around 32-34 degrees and slow down, stretch in the water first then gentle swimming, one length at a time, then more stretching, you will have muscles that have gone to sleep with fibro and awakening them suddenly-they will bite back..

I love a good bath - though I’m like bambi getting out

45 minutes is a long session. I would have thought 20 minutes would be enough. Look after yourself, Em

Yes, I think you probably over did it in your enthusiasm! Plus if it was cold that won't have helped. I swim every couple of weeks, in a pool where the temperature can vary by a few degrees. Some weeks - the warmer water ones - I'm fine; others - when it's colder - I'm not. It is, quite literally, a pain! However my nearest hydro pool is 35 miles away - not an option for me. But perhaps you have one near you?

I do stuff--even gradually--like 3 minutes on treadmill--and it seems like after a couple daysI am in so much pain--I need exercise for both my fibro and emphysema--but it just whips the dog shit outta me--I need to get weight off I gained when I quit smoking to breathe better--oh dear what a dilemma--you get to the point scared to do anything--I will be 70 next January--so Im trying to stay out of nursing home--but my legs etc are getting so weak because I cant do much without pain--Thanks for listening friends--MmeT
