I have had fibromyalgia since 1996. For the pat 19 years I sweat terrible. I hate to get dresses. When I walk into Church water is dripping off my ears , neck ,face, head and back. I don’t sweat anywhere else. I have been through every test , I cannot seem to find a answer. I don’t care how cold it gets I don’t wear a coat. It is not my medications, I know it is not hot flashes. I have had those. This sweating I am having now last so long. I have had complete hysterectomy in 1994, if anyone has any suggestions please text me back.

Hi Fultonbr

Have you talked to your gp about this sweating, I get occasional sweating of head face and neck which can happen when the rest of me is cold, weird.

However Botox can be used to control sweating in some circumstances ask your gp.

Have a great new year x

Hi there welcome to the group :) May I ask what your Gp has said about your sweating? I am presuming you have spoken to your doctor about it.

I have noticed you have not locked your post you may wish to do this to protect your privacy and keep what you write off the world wide web. This link will show you how to do this.

I’m exactly the same as you. My body does not have a thermostat anymore! I’ll watch this post for replies. Nice to meet you and happy new year x

Hi I know some of the controlling medications can cause sweating, some anti depressants like Duceten, etc. Check the side effects on your medication instructions

Interesting! Fibro may explain as I have the same issue--I sweat like a son-of-a-gun! It's embarrassing especially during the winter to wear a t-shirt into a store then stand in line, sweating, waiting for checkout! LOL! Happy New Year and just think of the money we save on our heat bills; we have our own built-in furnace.

That sounds so awful. I'm sorry this is happening. I get so cold instead. Hubby and I fight over the thermostat. Having Parkinson's he gets too warm and has oil from scalp that gets into his eyes.

A blessed New year to you all.

Hello dearest. Had the same problem. Did botox injections around my hairline, was treated with a medicine for hypersweating and also used a cream my dermatologist prescribed. I now feel like my old self! Botox can be also done in vaious parts of the body like underarns, bikini area etc. check it out with a reaaalyy good dermatologist. Good luck!
