why does my upper body feel like it has an ice pack all over it, all over the shoulders and down the back of my arms, then later on into the evening i come out in a cold sweat.

Does anybody know why this is please as i have had for 6 weeks now, i did have a UTI and that is gone now so i am baffled to what is causing this.

I'm afraid many people with FM have episodes of feeling quite unwell, as if coming down with viral, flu type symptoms and I'm pretty sure your UTI infection maybe the cause on this occasion. The UTI has gone, perhaps your body will take a while to catch up. Basically you will find it takes you longer to recover from illness, and at times feel unwell for no obvious reason. Take care of yourself and try not to push it because I find if I do that it takes even longer! Tulip xx

Thank you Tulips 123

If it has not gone by next week i will be going to the doctors as i need to find out what it is and can it be treated.

xx

Hi Sylvie

Yes I agree with Tulip as I find if I have had a virus or infection it seems to take my body ages to get back to normal (well as normal as you get with fibro). I have had the flu and I feel I am getting over it and then as you say go freezimg and then have a sweat and it happens when I try to do that bit too much. I was gentle with mself yesteday felt much better pushed myself this morning more and back to square one. Hope you start to feel better soon.x

i am sorry you have felt unwell, the flu is a bad virus i had it in the new year and i was in bed for 3 days so i know what you have been going through.

Don`t try to over do things as you will be back to square one and at the end of the day is it worth it, your health is more inportantxx

Are you on any medication? Could be some kind of withdrawal going on.

in reply toRainbowElf

Rainbow Elf, I was on antibiotics for a UTI on and off for 3 months, finished now nearly 2 weeks and the ice pack feeling has gone but i still have the cold clammy sweats in the evening every now and again.

Thank you for your replyx
