It's a mixture of both at times, however do see your GP and make them run bloods for you to find out where your at with menapause, Fibro does make you sweat more but it's worth knowing what your dealing with. I'm menopausal I've had no period for nearly a year now, but I have fibromyalgia too. I'm on progesterone cream from wellness at night and supplements too. Which I do think help with Symtoms, Best of luck girl ❤️👍🏻

I'm on amitriptyline. And take supplements too.

Unfortunately, I sweat like I have a water spout in my scalp (and elsewhere). I have started wearing old kitchen towels that were relegated to the rag bin around my neck to stop from dripping everywhere and into everything.. For me it is a combination of the Sjogren's, Fibro and my medications. It is embarrassing and frustrating - you have my empathy..

Not even at little - I told my hubby that I can't imagine that any woman growing up thought, "Gee, when I get to be an adult, I sure hope I sweat all of the time..."

I used to tuck my dear Shampoo and Set ladies under the dryer with a nice cup of tea and wonder why the odd one would keel over. (We were always terribly nice and understanding flapping around with towels and flannels and naturally more tea. And bless them they must have been thinking, we lucky young things had no idea!) We might even see them waving before toppling, and wave back sweetly, 'Oh no Mrs Doings, we haven't forgotten', (oopsie!). What torture it must have been to look good.

I do feel for you in the salon with all the heat from blow dryers too. At least summer is drawing to a close. That will help some, maybe?

Seriously though I think the heat is close to panic. The body thinks there is an emergency and you need to take action to reduce the heat. At night it wakes you up for you to take action. If you panic because it feels hot and panicky or you feel embarrassed, it gets worse. A fan and a water spritzer always handy, might help? Maybe if you want to try a supplement look at Maca. I thought it helped me.

I've been 30 yrs since diagnosis and 15 yrs I gave into medication. I get night sweats but am always cold. I wrap a towel around my pillow although it is settling a bit now. I never feel overly warm, even in Marrakech in August at 46/48C but my head and neck poured, but it was ok as it wasn't cold around me if that makes sense. I haven't found an answer but if I'm going out and know it will start then I use anti perspirant on my scalp and neck !!! 😂
