Finding this weather unbearable. Sweats are sooo bad, my face is beginning to get really sore from me constantly wiping away the sweat, sooo desperate for answers. It's taking over my life and I'm sooooo frustrated.

hello diamondwendie,
I have the same problem. its been this way for the last 3 summers. ive been tested for menopause but that came back okay. ive been prescribed Driclor its a very strong deodorant, my gp said its okay to use on my forehead. ive yet to try it as been so tired I forget to use it before bedtime. but I too am at the end of my tether, its so embarrassing too. I will read your other replies as I will try anything.
hugs x
Hi caninecrazy
thank you for your advice. I'm exactly the same, been checked for menopause about 20 times because I'm 45. It's sooooo embarrassing,no matter what I do I sweat, people just stare which makes you feel even more paranoid. Will definitely ask my go thank you. There is also pills and a cream someone else has recommended, have a look on my replies hun.hugs x
I cant see other replies yet but will check later. I am 43 now but was tested for menopause at 40, they wont do it again. I agree about the way people stare, it makes it worse! temps over 18 degrees and I cant cope come on winter x
Its not only fibromites that have this problem. A poor lady in the M & S queue on Tuesday was absolutely dripping and kept on apologising and I said "don;t worry I can be like that in winter" and the trouble with that is it is not easily disguised is it. I can have a shower and by the time I have dried myself I am dripping with sweat. My thermostat only has extremely high or extremely low, nothing in between. Sorry no cures but a great deal of empathy for anyone else suffering in the same way.x
Sometimes, yes, the shower thing happens to me too, I always say to hubby 'I don't know why I bothered' It's so exhausting getting a shower too and I have a bath seat so it shouldn't be really
I am lucky as my work uniform is black so I can hide that horrid damp feeling, plus I work all shift in the chiller aisle so that's cooler there, I struggle Thursdays when I work elsewhere. they still have the heating on! lol x
Me too, not so bad as you mind but having issues with taking the cardie off and feeling a draught so I put it back on and then i start melting and then feel another draught and so on....
...oh! and my hair is a frizz bomb from the humidity
I keep rinsing my wrists in cool water and rinsing my face too other than that and drinking plenty of fluids to prevent dehydration I don't know what else to suggest.
Is this only affecting you now because it's warmer or is it an ongoing problem? I ask because maybe a chat to your GP would be good if it's an ongoing problem
Wishing you wellness with a nice cool breeze to help cool you down but not so ,much as to cause you a chill
Fluffies with ice buckets required all round I think.... that could lead to mischief!

I am so genuinely sorry to read that you are experiencing this issue, and I sincerely hope that you can find the answers that you so desperately desire and deserve. I also suffer with Hyperhidrosis but mine is rather particular as to when it happens, as it does not necessarily have to be a hot day?
I want to genuinely wish you all the best of luck.
All my hopes and dreams for you
Ken
Hi ken mines the same even in the coldest weather. No need for a coat but always got coughs and colds. Thanks ken
I am the same day and night my hair is wet all the time and I don't even have to do anything and the sweat just runs down my face and when I go out side and start walking it gets worse and it is so embarrassing. My face gets sore and I can't put any moisturiser on because seems to come off straight away. I am like this all year round I can't remember the last time I put a jumper on! I have spoken to my GP so many times about this problem but she says there is nothing she can do.
Pam
I am terrible with the sweats I know its the menopause been going through I since I was 45 but I find if I wear towelling head bands it helps with the head sweats and I use powder stick deoderants and find im alot dryer and smell nicer for longer instead of sprays and roll ons
ment to say if you ask your doctor about driclor ask for it on prescription as its cheaper than over the counter as you get twice the amount x
Thank you. Do you take this? Does it work? X
