hi just going to ask a very silly question ...I think I'm just having a moment... I purchased a tub of Epsom salts which many of you have said will help with my aches and pains...my question is how much do I put in.???? and sad but true I can only use this when my hands play the game and let me open the tub without fuss....

I would say just follow the directions as the ones i buy have an amount for use in bath. But i have watched some youtube videos were people claim we don't use enough in the tub, Like we should be using 2+ times the amount of directions.

I usually add a little more than directions but i don't want to waste. I'm not sure if there is a limit to how much our bodies can absorb through water.

Anyway sorry I'm no help. I think 16 oz is what my father in law uses.

Good luck××

Epsom Salts is the same thing as Magnesium.

Epsom salt is magnesium sulfate & i am guessing spider was talking about magnesium chloride flakes. They are both magnesium but different forms, and from my understanding magnesium chloride is easier for our body to absorb or something like that.

I can't get a bath anymore as I struggle to get out. But when I was still able in a full bath I used to use four cupfuls of epsom salts, two of bicarbonate of soda and 12-20 drops of lavender oil. xxx

ukmsmi4 was totally correct about the amount of Epsom Salts. I used to buy them in sacks.

I only have a shower now but have realised that an oblong bucket to fit in both feet and up to mid calf, maybe a sack will be on order soon :-)
