Morning, just a question, I had my assessment 13th November and awaiting result, which can be up to 8 weeks. Just wondering will I get a text telling me if I'm successful or not, or have to wait for letter?

Good morning, when I first claimed PIP, the money was in the bank before I received a letter, didn't have a text at all. Things may have changed because I've been receiving PIP for several years now. If successful the payment will be backdated to the date you made your claim.

Good luck 🤞

Thank you, the reason I asked was because a friend of mine got a text to say she was successful, was wondering if I don't get a text I wasn't successful, will have to wait and see. Thank you

I think it varies. I've heard of people getting a text or money in bank before letter arrives, while others get the letter first and then money

Did you ask them for a copy of their report. You are entitled to see it and you can usually work out from their comments what you have or have not been granted. Usually worth applying for a copy after your assessment so that you can, if needed, be ahead of the game in preparing your MR.

Hi.

I didn't receive a text, I had a call confirming my award and the amount to be backpaid.

Hope you hear asap!

I kept an eye on my bank and hoped for the best,I also got a hand from the Carers centre and got the standard daily and enhanced for mobility. I was so worried until I checked my bank account, I never spent any until I received the letter, Just in case Haha
