Hi, I'm struggling at the minute but not sure the cause of the pain, is it Fibro. ?
I have autoimmune illness, thyroid psoriasis etc. My doctors has never confirmed if I have fibro., just nods his head and hands out pills
Pain seems to move around my body, the other week one foot was very painful another week my wrists.
My main pain is in my shoulders, been like it for years off and on. I had physio last year when the pain sent the muscles into spasm. The pain is always there, my bra strap causes pressure though loose. During the last week the pain in my shoulder has got bad again, like someone standing on my shoulders. The pain creeping into my neck head, ear and face. One eye feels as if it is closing. I don't want to be touched, no massage or anything. Help please.

As I am not a professional and you have other conditions I think it is better for you to get professional support. As they can help to decide on your next steps and hopefully give you some pointers.
If you take a look at our mother site you will find lots of info regarding Fibro, which you may find useful fmauk.org
Unfortunately it can take many years to get a definitive diagnosis of Fibromyalgia due to the fact that the symptoms are very similar to other conditions such as Lupus, Lyme Disease and MS.
Do you know if your GP has done any blood tests at all to rule these conditions out of the picture?
It is very important that this is done first.
Secondly, it may be a good idea to ask your GP to refer you to a Rheumatologist. They are the Consultants that tend to diagnose Fibro, although increasingly Neurologists are now starting to diagnose it too.
I really do feel your frustration. However I am not a medical professional and therefore it would not be my place to say whether you actually have Fibro or not.
I am so sorry I cannot be of much further help than this at this stage, but please do come back to us and let us know how you get on with your GP.
Hello and welcome to our friendly fibro forum where you can find advice, support, help, understanding and friendship.
It certainly sounds that your symptoms could be fibro but I am not medically qualified so could not give you a diagnosis. I suggest you read up as much information about it, but also the other conditions it mimics like Lupus.
I would also ask your GP for blood tests to eliminate autoimmune conditions, and Lyme Disease. Fibro tends to be the default condition when all others have been eliminated.
Our mother site fmauk.org is useful for information as is the NHS site
