I've been in pain for well over a month now and I'm wondering if it is fibro. I was going to ask at my last doctors appointment. but I only saw a nurse and the appointment do no go well.
The pain is in my neck and shoulders as if someone is standing on my shoulders. When I put my hands onto my shoulders, at the base of my neck the pain sort of jumps, like I pressed a button
Does this ring any bells, please.
I have autoimmune health issues, thyroid and psoriasis.

Hi Beaton, I would ask the doctor to see what they think.
Generally fibro is pain everywhere and in both sides of the body, also you would feel very exhausted with it. can only comment from my own experience bad headache comes with it to and a foggy feeling.
I've found that docs do a series of tests to rule out lots of other things first - blood tests, x-rays and MRIs etc as appropriate before they will finally say it's fibro. Fibro can't be diagnosed with blood tests - it's usually a process of elimination of other things first.
I personally would keep a symptom diary and take it with you to your doc.
I am so genuinely sorry to read that, and I think your two other respondents have given you wonderful replies. I would also ask for a referral to see a Rheumatologist as they usually are the department that diagnose Fibro. I want to sincerely wish you all the best of luck.
