Hard to say how I'm feeling. We've all been there. The cognitive fog, the fear of letting go. I've been aware I have FM since I was about 16. I mean, who has a bad back at 16? Come on body let me enjoy being young and fearless, let me run for miles and miles, let me get up at a normal hour instead of lying in bed craving more and more sleep. Why am I lying awake at 2am listening to the dull tingles in my head? Repelling the sugar cravings... and trying to massage my collarbone so the numb, dull pain stops.
My counsellor suggested it would be a good idea to start writing down my thoughts, feelings and maybe seeking advice though others? Well.. I don't want to bore you.. but it could be good for me π
Now 22, in my final year of university ππ yay me. 3 weeks I haven't been able to think straight, it's almost like I'm the rudest person in the world when someone asks me a question and I just sit there like.. π€€ Excuse moi?
Hoping it's just a phase and these panic attacks go away π΅ I mean, I'm the least anxious person I know and these are really taking a toll on me. My heart goes out to anyone reading this who has suffered or is suffering with them... β£οΈ
Enough of me, I wanna hear about you guys. I've never reached out to anyone about my Fibro and I'd like to hear your stories, your experiences and your thoughts.

I wonder how your message got tagged with "massage"? Just 'cos you massaged your collarbone? Curious.

I hope you get your GP on board. Maybe a change in tactics? You might want to try a link at this site, print it out and hand it to your GP? You might start a spark of awareness!
Oh hello And welcome to this site. It's a fabulous place and since I joined has changed my life. We all know what you are going through so you are not alone. Yep gp's can be the worst ever but some are very good too. I didn't talk (still don't off this forum to be honest) but here has been a life saver. Well done at uni as that can be stressful enough. There are no quick cures but there is lots of loving support here. Remain blessed and as pain free as possible xx

I am a very ancient 53 year old who usually feels in his 80s lol! I have multiple health conditions including Fibro. I want to sincerely wish you all the best of luck and please take care of yourself my friend.
Hi. So sorry you've got fibro so young. Welcome to this site though. It is a relief to hear how others feel here or to share about what is happening to oneself and find out others have the same problem. At least then you know you're not going insane as well! Ive had the attempted diagnosis of anxiety thrown at me on a number of chest pain attacks and also during migraine type headaches. That was even though my h
Will try again to finish message: hit wrong button...my husband didnt believe it was anxiety either and he knows me best. Anyway turned out to be gallstone attacks: became apparent when i eventually passed one out of gallbladder and havent had problem since! As for brain fog: mine was really bad in january. But have upped my med.of amitriptyline to 20mg a night which helps mesleep better as well as take away most aches and pains. Are you on any med? If not find an understanding gp to talk to.
Have you since any worsening of symptoms due to hormones? Mine always go into flare up before "wrong"time of month! As i'm perimenopausal that is all over the shop and never know what is happening!
Hope you manage to get more understanding and help. Best wishes for your studies.
Hi Lamby!
Are you sure that they are panic attacks that you suffer? I have Fibromyalgia, Ehlers Danlos and PoTs. My symptoms for PoTs are similar to panic attacks.
Please give it a google and see if you recognise yourself in the condition. If you do ask your GP for a tilt-table test.
