Hi all hope you are as well as you can be. Just fed up with this chronic pain. All I want to do is sleep. Kids are fed up with me not doing anything with them. I do try but my body can't. I try and plan to do one thing a week but even that's too much the pain so bad I just cry. Like today I really wanted to get to my meeting tonight. ( I'm a jw ) but the pains so bad I just had to go to bed and my body just can't move. SORRY TO MOAN has any one got any ideas ?? Take care Linda

Hi

I'm so sorry that you feel like this.

Have you had your blood tests done recently for vit d, thyroid etc.

Do you take extra vits wit vit d and magnesium in. These are supposed to be things that fibro sufferers lack.

Have you tried a bath in Epsom salts? As someone posted that that helped her pain.

Someone also posted about a supplement that a dr advised someone with MS to take for getting more energy into their muscles. You can google it and it explains it better than I can. It's called D-ribose. You can get it in powder form or tablet form and Amazon sell it. A few people on the site have commented that they have found it helpful.

I do hope that you feel better soon.

Take care and best wishes.

Take care of yourself

Ahh, I see. I've only got a shower too. I put my feet in a bucket of warm water with Epsom salts in and sit there soaking.

Have you tried Volterol gel?

Good luck and best wishes. 😊

Thank you going to try putting my feet in Epsom salt. And yes I have tried Volterol did not do much for me. I'm just fed up with all the meds I'm on NOT working.

Take care Linda xx

I know how you feel, I can't take meds as had bad reactions to them. I do a combo of vits, Volterol, hot waterbottle, etc

Good luck 👍😊

Hi Linda.

Don't be sorry to moan that's what we are here for. Yes we have all been there and got the t shirts. Yes it is very difficult to plan things I have missed so much but my kids are great they understand that daddy can't do these things anymore. I have managed to pinpoint where my pain is worse, my pain is down my right side. My leg is the culprit so I try my hardest to keep off it as much as I can. So I use a mobility scooter to get around which works great. My neck is another one but I suppose I have always been a "Pain in the Neck" I use a neck brace when I am out and about. Both hand & foot braces also help. I'm currently working on more tricks to help with things. Please let me know if I can help you further ??? Steve.

Hi Linda

Do you mind me asking from what point of view could you have a mobility scooter?

Are you asking if you could be provided with one or whether you can buy one yourself?

Sorry for not understanding!

Hi Linda.

I'm so sorry your husband has left you.

I have had a number off mobility scooters since 1998 following mr Stroke at 32 yrs.

Yes you can, do you get any benefits ???

Sorry to ask.

I have never had any problems with my scooters to date & I have had one or two.

Hi Linda.

That's great, can you please let me know if you get DLA ???

Yes the only time that I get out is in my scooter, we are very lucky as we have wheelchair friendly buses.

Mind you I try not too go to far as I have got lots to do around the house.

I'm currently in and out off hospital as in 2014 I had major stomach surgery.

I now have a channel from my belly button into my bladder.

This is the only way that I can catheterise properly.

Do you keep yourself busy in the household ???

Sorry again for asking.

Steve.

Mahoney0719 in reply to Steve49

No don't get DLA. Yes I have got lots to do around the house but only when the pain lets me do things. I do spend a lot of time in bed as it's the best place for my chronic back problem. Thank you for your help

Take care Linda xx

Hi Linda.

Sorry but did you say that you get PIP ???

If so do you want me to look into how do you get a scooter ???

We will need to see what component off PIP you will require to get your hands on one.

Please let me know if you want me to look into this for you ???

Hi Linda.

Don't worry about the DLA it's just away off getting a new scooter.

Yes that's great, yes it is very hard to fit the pain in.

I have currently got a big project in my back garden started.

It kills me though, my brain goes 100 miles a hour but my body is in reserve.

My downfall is doing far too much all off the time.

Never mind we have to show "willing" don't we !!!

Yes I have to do that as well a lot, the only thing with this as we can become very isolated which is no good physically or mently.

Please let me know if I can help.

Steve.

Hi Steve just to let you know that in some regions people have been forced to move from DLA to PIP, it has happened in mine. Eventually everyone under a certain age will have to make this transition. Thank you or being so helpful to Linda.x

Hi, thank you very much for your message, Yes we will all need to switch over to PIP at some stage. I'm very happy to help/support as many people as I can. Life has been very difficult for me so if I can help others going through the same problems that will be great.
