Hello Thunder 1 from Nurse Gladys Emanuel (open all hours) not sure where you are but can you get yourself or someone with you; to a local swimming pool / gymn that has a Jacuzzi? a good soak a bit of stretching those tired limbs and muscles dose me the world of good, I also have hydrotherapy with a physio at local hospital this is really heaven for RLS/Fibro/ME/CFS and some mild stroke victims, they go in the water with you , there are assistants to help with dressing.. I got this via my rheumatologist but any hospital consultant can refer you if you ask them. tell them other sufferers are saying its so good.
Great I will talk to my dr about this on Wednesday or phone my rhematologist. Thank you π
Hi
Sorry that you're having such a bad time of it.
I'm afraid that I cannot give you any real help, as none of the meds have helped me either. As everyone's different it's hard to say what my get help.
All I can say is that I find a hot water bottle helps, Volterol gel and aspirin. It doesn't go but it helps a little. I have been told that to fight it and get stressed really doesn't help, so to try to relax more. I do a little then have a rest and maybe some tablets and so it goes on. I have a gentle massage every so often too. I also have are extra vits, hemp tablets, herbal sleeping tablets. I listen to talking books during the long sleepless nights, which helps me to relax and not think of things too much.
I really hope that you can get some help soon. Take care and best wishes.
Awww bless you thank you I will try that too as I am willing to try almost everything. Thank you π

Hi Smiler69

Hi Thunder1
I am so gneuinely sorry to read that you are suffering and struggling and I sincerely hope that your GP appointment goes really well for you. I do gentle daily physiotherapy to help alleviate pain and also use a TENS Machine which I find very useful. I have pasted you an excerpt and a link from a *NHS & Arthritis UK pdf file about TENS Machines below:
*How can I try a TENS machine?
You can ask your doctor to refer you to a physiotherapist to try a TENS machine. If
TENS helps to relieve your pain, your physiotherapist is likely to give you between
20 minutes and a couple of hours with the machine. It may take a few sessions to get
used to. TENS can be used for one hour on, one hour off, throughout day.

I also have my medication for Fibro, I have Pregabalin, Nortriptyline and Cocodamol and together they also help me. I want to sincerely wish you all the best of luck, and please take care of yourself.
All my hopes and dreams for you
Ken
