Hi I'm still new on here only wrote couple off time on here, just don't think I can take much more off this chronic pain it's killing it's 24 /27, 7 days a week 356 days a year nonstop mess off the boby, my head is screaming I can't think so so fed up with it, doctor's pain management keep saying the same thing and I fed up of seeing my doctor most months about same out thing that makes me dizzy just going around and around in circles. ........... had a operation done end of march and that took me all off April and being of may to get over it, I was in bed most of that time omg the pain over the op was unreal it took anything out of me, the flare ups was like unreal to made me feel like flu, I feel that doctors and specialists need to be aware people with fibromyalgia that having a operation will take longer to recover then somebody else without is evil illness. ........ well I'm off to bed taken all my night meds and hopefully have some sleep without been up again at 4 or 5 am. Hope everyone has a good weekend xxxxxx😴😴😴😴😴

Hi Bks72

I am so genuinely sorry that you are suffering and struggling with so much pain and I sincerely hope that you can find some resolution and relief to your pain issues.

If you are not getting anywhere with your GP it may prove beneficial to go to your local ''walk in centre'' and complain about your pain levels as it would be a fresh pair of eyes looking at the problem and maybe they could help you where your GP can't? I want to sincerely wish you all the best of luck, and please take care of yourself.

All my hopes and dreams for you

Ken

Totally agree with you Ken. It's a terrible thing to get struck down with. My manager said "I've looked into Fibromyalgia and you're unique as it only affects women- aarrgggh {screaming full pelt}. Keep as well as you can, we do get SOME better days, here's hoping some come you're way.

Hi there, I empathise with everything you are saying and know the pure frustration of going round and round in circles. Eventually you will be told to manage your condition or at least I was. I found a local support group handy for this. Firstly they validated what I was experiencing. They also had several suggestions about what to ask for and what to try. I eventually found a Dr that will work with me. He said he was overwhelmed by so many symptoms and suggested I write them all down and we are now working through them one by one. People are amazing with what they can deal with even though they think they can't. You are stronger than you think. Gentle hugs.

Hi, I am so sorry you are in so much pain, must be horrendous for you, no let up. I hope your Meds have given you some relief and you managed some sleep. Don't feel you are being a pain , keep going back to GP, I hope they realise soon how you are feeling. Might be a good idea, to do as Ken says, and try a walk in clinic, and let them know how bad you are. I really hope it eases soon. Take care.xx

So sorry that you are feeling so bad. It can get better, I have tried everything suggested to me that wasn't dangerous and some have helped, and some made me worse but never give up, never surrender. There may not be a cure yet but it can be managed.

Gentle hugs.

So sorry you are struggling and feel you can't do it anymore. The thing is that we have to so we do and it does get better sometimes and then you look back and wonder what you have done differently. I have been where you are on several occasions, thinking that it's only going to get worse so what's the point ? But I've gone through it. Altered the medication, found a good chiropractor to help me help myself with strengthening muscles to support the weak areas, discovered meditation etc.

Perhaps you could ask your GP or Pain clinic to review your medication . Sometimes a change can improve things. I was on morphine and continuously upping the dose and having more and more pain. A change to Oxycodobe has helped.

Are you managing to do gentle stretching every day ? . It can help a lot even though it's hard initially.

I do hope you have a better day. Good days will com.

Dee

Hi

Very sorry to hear how bad you've been. All I can say is hang on in there. It will obviously take a long time to get over the op, but hopefully you'll get there.

Take it slow and easy. I know how hard it is, when you're so low and in so much pain, but there's always hope.

Take care and my very best wishes.

Hi there , I have had it since I was a child , so a long time . I think from what I have read there are degrees of fibro , some people can work with it and then there are others who like me have all 18 points on my body who can't , I have never had a full time job but worked when I was able but I managed to have 3 children and that was hard at times but I had good friends who picked up for me when I couldn't get out of bed . Enjoy the rest of your weekend if you can xx

I'm in exactly the same place as you ,constant pain ,pain relief not enough and I hardly sleep .pain every dauy and night it's exhausting and In the past I have wanted to die ,but now I am in a place of acceptance. And know it's never going to stop ,never claimed anything because it always knew I couldn't cope with asking for it, Have you thought you could be depressed and why wouldn't you be? A lot of us with severe fibro are myself included if you are see your doctor and if he gives some antidepressants it will help you cope .Fibromyalgia is like symptoms of flu and then it racks up some for the pain that drives you mental and nothing helps except walking and I'm not going out alone at 2,3,4,5 in the morning.Just know your not alone many of us suffer like yourself ,so I you can't cope just pop on here and one of us will try and help XHope your weekend is ok and without unbearable pain .Sending a gent all hug .xx

I have seen cycle on tv , very good because you can do it from your chair . Take care darling just do one day at a time for now .Try and do ,watch or read something nice just for you xx

So sorry to read your post. It seems like the operation has put your fibro into some sort of rail spin and you have been in a major flare since. I don't know what operation you had but often you think you are over the worse and then your body retaliates my friend was like this with her last operation but eventually her body became more balanced again but it was a real struggle for several months. Hope you managed to get a good night. Take care.x

Yes I agree with you post op. the medics need to get us out of bed and standing as soon as otherwise yu feel like rigour has set in! On discharge they should have made sure you are pain free from everything not just the op you had, a bad hospital who did this to you..Hoping the week end gets you back on your feet. Everything always seems to feel when you don't have control over the situation, you poor lass. You've done so well to come through surgery, that strength can help you through this too. Have you heard of mindfulness? It's a way of concentrating the mind so that you feel completely rested. Google it and maybe try some relaxation music? Together with some gentle yoga movements or stretches you may feel you're more in charge.

I hope slept and feel more positive today 😘

I can sympathize with you. I often sit and think, is this all in my head, how can I be suffering as much pain in many different places and not know what is causing it. I really wish I could sit down with a GP who has fibromyalgia. I also wish they would do more research into it, I have been asked at work what my outcome will be, how do I know if the medical professionals are not even sure what causes it.

I feel sure there's something out there that is going to help to bring the pain level down, just have to keep trying! A few quick suggestions:

- a visit to the sauna might give temporary relief

- a massage might help

- often pain is linked to inflammation, in which case Boswellia could be useful

- working on the gut by taking probiotics, kefir, triphla, etc is often central to getting the body to heal

- supplements such as magnesium, B12 and vitamin D are worth considering

Just hang in there, sometimes it can take time and persistence before the body is able to heal itself.

Hi.

I'm so very sorry for you !!!

Yes it seems very hard sometimes, I ditched both my GP & Surgery & Chemist.

I've found better ones now which makes things much better.

I have also ditched more Consultants & Hospitals than I have had "hot diners"

The lovely NHS won't fund my next round off treatment "great"

Please please don't give up that's what they want.

Life's not easy but we need to "stand up and be counted"

Please please please contact me if that will help ???

Steve.

I suffer badly with my sleep, have had 2 nights of full sleep in 6 years, I've accepted it much more now, no trouble getting to sleep, just can't seem to stay asleep and that's with sleeping tablets from GP..

I have trouble laying on my back as have disc issues all the way down,so can't lay on my arms as both have radioculopathy, I've given up getting upset about it now..the last year I've become more accepting to life being different, I'm not that old either which makes it even more unbearable I think....nothing we can do, we have to accept life has changed and make the best of it, we have no choice after all..
