pain

hi hows everyone today.i am ok just got lot of pain in my jaw went to dentist yesterday as thought was problem with my tooth but theyre ok she gave me some antibiotics just in case but finding it hard to eat or sleep its right in my jaw joint in front and below my ear.so annoying on top of everyday pain.

Hi molind. It could be something called TMJ. I think (I could well be corrected) that it stands for trans mandibular joint disorder. That's the hinge of the jaw which is just below your ear. I suffer from it at times. My jaw won't open properly and the pain can be nasty. Ask your dentist when you go back if that's what it could be. It is a known part of Fibro.

she gave me antibiotics in case there is an infection somewhere,but its right in my jaw joint and below my ear and into my face.i had problem with my jaw when I was in my teens.its very hard to eat.think ill stick to cereal at the minute.ill give antibiotics a couple of days if no better ill go see my gp.

Hope it gets better soon I woke up this morning with terrible pain in my cheekbone,my jaw hurts now maybe it is our condition and nothing serious

Oh you do have my sympathy. So it isn't your teeth well it could be referred nerve pain rushing up to the surface. Acute pain in face can often be put down to Fibro!

Do you use paracetamol; well it excellent at helping your meds to go to the most hurt of places. You can take two every four hours WOW I AM NOT A DOCTOR! I am just suggesting it might be a step towards stopping the pain!

That's a painkiller alright. What dosage of morphine are you on?

By the way the TMJ I was on about earlier is known to be part of Fibro. Will keep my fingers crossed that the antibiotics work. When my jaw joint was killing me I cut everything up in tiny pieces so my jaw didn't have much work to do ha ha 👌😁 . Took a long time to eat anything. I was so annoyed that my weight didn't drop from eating so much less 🐸

40mg twice day and 20mg in between.

Yes I have that as well as. phantom pain where I had my wisdom teeth out years back. Horrible isn.t it. Hope in one way it is an infection as at least the antibiotics should clear it up. If you have one of this little hot water bottles or a wheat bag wrap it up in a towel and press it to the area that hurts as it sometimes helps me.x

Hi, I had terrible pain in my jaw and up my face to my ear on the left hand side went to Dr and she said Fibro I asked could I used voltarol on my face and she said ok and it did ease it some so worth a try. Best of luck .

Rotten Luck Molind. I hope the antibs help. Do try hot and cold alternate compresses can make difference.!

x ginsing My jaw was grotty they made a mouth gard for nightly wearing. I was on holiday the first one after my husband died 18 years ago.

My ne OH made me laugh so hard I put my jaw oh it hurt but I have never had the paIN in haw as bad again.

So Laughter may help
