Hi Zita71
Sorry to hear that you're having trouble getting information from your doctor. When I went to see the consultant rheumatologist, I asked her to send me a copy of all correspondence/reports she sends to my surgery. She now gets all health proffesionals who deal with me to do likewise. I insisted that It was important to me to have some knowledge of what was going on so I could at least be prepared for tests coming up etc. She is brill and liases with my other HPs to see how everything affects my condition. I know from reading posts about others' docs how fortunate I am to have a consultant/gp who are believers in fibro. I am firm but not rude with them and say I want to help myself as much as poss to cope with it all. Before my old gp left I asked him for referral to a gp who 'gets it' and struck lucky. I don't know how easy it is in your practise to get referred to different gp but its worth insisting if you can. I don't know where you live, i,'m in Cornwall. I truly hope you get some answers. You don't to reserve to be treated this way and have 'patient rights'. All the best.x
Thanks for your x x x
I am so genuinely sorry to read that, and I sincerely hope that your appointment goes well for you.
All my hopes and dreams for you
Ken
