I have recently finished my 12 month treatment for V& O. I am pre diabetic and just had my yearly checkup. My blood sugars are now in the normal range.i.e. not diabetic. Now, since PMR & Pred from November2023, it's jumped to 46... despite huge cuts in anything sweet and also cutting most carbs. 48 is consistent with diabetes. Has anyone done the Michael Mosely diet? I know nothing about it nor which book of his is easiest to follow. Thank you.

Had 800+ Triglycerides (TG) 3 months back; Diabetes Type II, Hypertension Was put on Statin+Fibrate + Saroglitizar After 3 months, Triglycerides came down to 350 but reducing further. Family has history of high triglyceries.

has anyone on here with cirrhosis had type 2 diabetes? I am now on insulin but the doctor said I should be able to get off the shots hopefully in a few months. I’ve been on for 2 days and it definitely is reacting to the shots.

His insistence of calling asymptomatic diabetes type 2 as a remission instead of as a reversal struck a chord with me. Sustained Intermittent Fasting can in time result in normal test results indicating the absence of diabetes.

Reading about the steroids a side effect is insulin resistance which I already have and am predisposed to both gestational diabetes and type 2 diabetes due to my PCOS and also a family history.

We bang on about cutting carbs when on pred and I thought you might be interested in this article about extremely low carb diets and reversing diabetes and weight gain. It isn't in pred patients but it does show how going low carb works and that it is sustainable on a relatively low income.

I have a strong family history of late onset type 2 diabetes through the generations. I have ordered a blood glucose monitor, I thought it might be a good idea, like I monitor my blood pressure too.

The author said that the future of thyroid replacement medication should lie in the method of diabetes insulin medication-ie continuous monitoring & administering 24/7. He also made reference to the affect on the adrenals of thyroid hormone disorders. Needless to say,my brain lit up!
