Just a quiet word - there's a lot of dog-baiting happening. My beautiful Ruby had to be put down yesterday. From what the vet said it caused internal haemorrhaging. Take care X

Sorry to hear that, is it being done deliberately to target dogs, how awful. Sending hugs and best wishes. Lou xx
I'm in America, don't understand "dog-baiting". Does that mean that someone poisoned your dog? If so, how horrible. I am so sorry. I would be just broken-hearted without my dog. I know you probably are. I lost my little Frankie 6 years ago and I thought I would never stop crying. A while later I found my Jorgie and she has been such a healer for my heart. I know you can't replace your Ruby, but don't dismiss the idea of another dog. They are so good for us. We need their unconditional love. It doesn't matter to them how we feel. When you are able, find another dog friend. And again, I am so sorry about Ruby. Gentle Hugs.
I am so sorry to read your post my heart goes out to you. When you lose a dog through illness or old age it is heatbreaking enough but to lose her that way is awful. I was only saying to OH that locally there are so many dogs being stolen and you do wonder what is going to happen to them.
I know nothing I can say can ease the hurt. Soft hugs going your way.xxx
So sorry to read about Ruby, that is an awful thing to happen. Some people can be so cruel to animals. My heart goes out to you.
Hi & thank you all for your replies. My other dogs have always let me know that they needed me to let them go .....If nothing else she's helped save other doggy friends - My son has just texted me to say that the particular park had contacted him and thanked him for letting them know and their Rangers have found lots of piles of rat poison etc... she always was such a thoughtful companion.
I am so sorry to read that and I would like to offer you my deepest condolences on your loss.
All my hopes and dreams for you
Ken x
So sorry to hear of your loss. Your Ruby should still be with you :-(. The evil in this world never ceases to amaze or sadden me!
I have always had dogs and they're like our 4 legged family 🐶❤️ I hope that in time you find some comfort from your memories of your companion.
I recentlyhadto let my dog go, he was a month shy of his 23rd birthday... Boat bad for a tatty old rescue that nobody wanted when he was 3 1/2 eh.. Except me of course.... Had him 19 years 😄
Perhaps he and ruby will be running around together, Wishing you peace and love

Thank you all once again - So far my sons Facebook page has made thousands of people aware - By having to die many more will live ....I'm inundated with offers of rescues etc ....and I'm sure one will find me ...just not ready yet although I know she wouldn't want me without companionship X
So sorry to hear of your loss my little yorkie died 10 years ago now got a little dog for my little girl called it my old dogs name for days forgot habit even ten years on he was my baby broke my heart for years so I know how hard it must be this world is a horrible place sometimes why do some people have to be so evil I just don't understand this world we live in .take god bless
so sorry for your loss, especially in the cruel heartless way you lost ruby too. she will wait for at rainbow bridge.
its good to hear the park rangers have looked for and removed more bait. how cruel some people can be baffles me.
hugs to you and your family xxx
Thanks I can't wait to see them all, but I'm not ready quite yet (lol). These people are very ill mentally. They must be so unhappy 24/7. I think they need pity and help. Unfortunately Mental Health is grossly underfunded & the help isn't there for many who need it. Poor Ruby paid a high price for a huge Prob we have in our society.
I totally agree, mental health is still a taboo subject yet it shouldn't be as modern life is so stressful.
hugs xx
aww! I won a goldfish from the fair (many years ago) when I was a child and called him Tom, he lived to 15 years old once I got a home of my own I had a tank in pride of place in my lounge which had chocolate orandas, red caps, pearl bodies and black moors......absolutely loved them all. would watch them swim around.
I no longer keep fish as I often found pet shops have poor and ill fish for sale and I feel bad for the ones floating at the top as they are too poorly to battle the current of the pumps
my passion is dogs as you can guess from my name x
