Hi, has anyone had an ongoing pain at the back of the knee. It started a few months ago and is now a permanent ache. I had an x-ray to rule out osteoarthritis and that came back ok. When I get up from sitting or turn in a certain way, it jarrs and the pain makes me cry out and wince. If I do any walking at all, that seems to make it worse. Would appreciate your thoughts or if anyone has had this problem.

At first not so bad then boom seems to be there daily now and tender and painful the more pressure I put on it or walking .I've learned that almost all my aches and pains are fibro related .one week bad two days the worst. So when I'd it good ???good question if I'm lucky.two days out of the month.of course I get excited then because to have a day pain free is just not heard of.
Find comfort in knowing your not alone .hope you feel much better soon /at least some pain relief .
I am so sorry to read that you are suffering in this way, and I genuinely hope that you can find the answers that you so desperately desire and deserve. I have Osteoarthritis and my knee pain is all around the knee as well as from the inside (usually caused by swellings). Is it possible the bones could be rubbing due to a cartilage issue?
I want to genuinely wish you all the best of luck.
Hi Ken, thanks for your reply. I did wonder if it might be cartilage. I need to see my GP again. Osteoarthritis must be painful for you; it's having the pain daily that can really get us down. I have it slightly in the hands now and left hip. We certainly have to battle on don't we.
I get this problem too it stays for about a week or so then goes I find it hard to go up and down stairs and walk it peeps its ugly head when I stand up if I have nothing to hold on to to steady me. Hope you feel better soon x
