My Dr prescibed 25 mg of Pregabalin to be taken twice a day, but I take 0.5 Lorazepam and 3.75 Zopiclone foR sleeping, and I forgot to ask him when I should take it and now it is the weekend and I wanted to start it, but feel unsure about it with the other Meds I take, can anyone help me with this please

Hi pat I take pregabalin, I take one in the morning and one at night. I'm on other medication to, it's been alright for me. So I hope this helps Take care x
What meds do you take, I am having to take care of my husband who is just home after having a stroke, I am th sole carer, family live a long way from me, son, they are having a baby next week, so will gve their hands full,
My balance, fog and pain is the worst I have ever experienced, does the Pregabalin affect your balance,? Bit scared to make things worse
Excuse the little errors in some of the words I cannot back track on this iPad since I updated it.
You can google - pregablin contraindications and it will tell you whether the meds combination is safe, or put in the names of all three meds with AND between each one then type INTERACTION .
It may also say in the leaflet which comes in the meds box.
If the label on the box doesn't say when to take it then suit yourself. I would try after breakfast and see how you feel, but if that doesn't feel right then switch to just after your evening meal, or bedtime. I always take meds on a full stomach unless it says otherwise, because some make the stomach bleed or cause IBS if not.
As the others have said phoning the pharmacist is the best thing to do. However, it is usually spread evenly over a dose in the morning and repeat at night.
Zopiclone is a great aid to sleeping but be very careful how often you take it. It is extremely addictive and can put your brain into another dimension!
I never take more than 2 a week and try not to if I can help it.
I take Lorazpepam .05 at night and 3.75 Zopiclone a night. The Psychiatrist I am seeing said take them nightly, Inhave been on Zopiclone for 10 months for severe GAD, and was getting no sleep except for 1hour, he put me on Lorazepam, when I had bad anxiety on Duloxetine, had to come off it through bad side effects and no benefits. That was in May
This year. Tried several antidepressants with the same results.
My husband had a stroke 2 1/2 months ago and it has flared up anxiety and Fibro really bad, now ge us home, very frail and needing a lot if care, malt hogh we get 4 visits a day from carers, then there are the Physio,s and the District Nurse, no relaxing.
Dr gas given me Pregabalin, took one dose today but looked on net and it said there is a moderate interaction with Lorazepam so am missing night time dose, and speaking to Dr. tomorrow,
Psychiatrist said try relaxation 2sessions a day, but just can't do it with all that is going on with husband.
