Hi pepper yes I gt pains in hands infact every where even in the soles of my feet, they are driving me nuts at the moment...I have bought a pair of compression fingerless gloves from amazon, they are £17 expensive I know but worth the money, I find they help me , I have to use two crutches which can make my hands worse, sometimes if they are really bad I will wear them for bed, they also create warmth.....hope this helps.....gentle hugs and a handful of sunshine coming your way .....Dee xx

Hi pepper2975

I am really sorry to read that you have been suffering in this way and I sincerely hope that you can find some resolution to this issue. I understand all too well as I get terrible pain in my hands and I am unable to do anything when they play up like that.

Take care

I have just connected painful wrists and hands to fibro as I have it during flare up now. hard to hold a cup of coffee this morning, it was driving me mad. in the past was told it was down to raynauds, but thats not been too bad. then again not going out helps that too. lol

I have pain and swelling in hands too (also reynauds), I find it helps keeping hands warm so wear finger less gloves indoors or cuffs I think they're called (like a sleeve that comes over your wrist & fingers with a thumb hole). I also find writing with a pencil instead of a pen and using soft grip knives also helps. I can't wear metal on my hands as it feels like electric shocks against skin, but wear a silicon wedding ring which expands and contracts with my hands and looks like gold.

Also putting muscle rub on hands gives some relief.

Hope some of this helps xxx

Morning Pepper, as you can see from all the responses here are a lot of us. who have problems with our hands. I actually took up playing the piano for a year to exercise my fingers it worked for a while then swelling increased. I do hot water in the morning and massage in it. When really bad I wear splints . Sometimes I am seen shaking mu hands - must look odd to outsiders.

I think you just need to treat them gently and keep hem warm.

Hope this helps a bit

Hi pepper, I have been suffering with bad pain and stiffness in my hands, the right one worst. I was referred to physio and have just finished a course of hot wax and exercise treatment. It has really helped. Keeping them warm at home also helps. Take care x

Hello Pepper, I also get a lot of pain in my hands, wrists etc I use wintergreen ointment, I get it from Baldwins on line, & wear a tubigrip support to try to keep my hands warm. I find I can't take anything out of the fridge as my hands cramp, go numb & I drop whatever I was trying to take. Take care, I hope you find something that helps XX

My hands & wrists are a constant source of astonishing pain. The pain is exacerbated by the cold weather and thin blood. I've found neoprene gloves keep the circulation going and brting warmth to the joints and thus giving me some relief. key in neoprene gloves into Amazon's Search engine and you'll see they ar not expensive and that there are different styles to choose from.
