Muscle twitching

Does anyone get muscle twitching and also the feeling that the muscles are clenching and unclenching. I also get a prickly feeling. Sorry it's so vague it is difficult to explain

Hi there holly yes I do when the muscles are clenching I think you will find that's the muscle going into spasm, I alo get the tingling yet numb feeling especially in my left thigh, left shoulder and right ear, I have to see a neurologist, but I feel it's yet another on of the fibro symptoms, but I guess they just want to make sure that there's nothing else amiss, hope this helps you... Hi. yes I get this as well, I assume it's a symptom of Fibro.

Good evening,yes I also get this.When I first got diagnosed and I started taking tramadol I noticed the muscles twitching and thought it was down to that but I think it's to do with the fibro.Some days my muscles feel like they are in overdrive twitching and jerking,it's normally worse when Iam more tired xxx

I too suffer terribly with this uncontrolable twitching & jerking which affects all of my limbs and mainly in the evening. The feelings are difficult to describe but all I know is how uncomfortable & frustrated it makes me. It ruins my evenings to the point that I cannot relax & I just don't know what to do with myself. It sound to me like you also have the symptom "restless leg syndrome" which is, unfortunately, common with FBro! My Dr has given me Ropinirole which I take every evening and it does take the edge off it. The only good thing about this symptom is that it does give the kids something to laugh about.....I do look quite funny when I am jerking my arms and legs about all over the place!!

Hi Holly yes I do and I take Pregabalin for it and it does help to control it, but I must say that the answer isn't always restless leg syndrome and if it persists and it continues to be bothersome please go and have a chat with your GP as he/she is the only person who can physically help you

Mine isn't restless leg syndrome My whole body is affected and like mugsy68 I also look quite funny too but I find it very painful

I think everyone here would benefit from anti-spasm fluffie cuddles so the'yre on route to you

If anyone says anything when you're jerking about just say you're practising the funky chicken

hi holly yes i get this twitching in my feet when i put my feet up my feet twitch and jerk i have fibromyalgia osteophorisis and neuropathy ,it could be fibro i found a site that might be helpfull if you google 100 symptoms of fibromyalgiai it may help you to know many of the symptoms you wont have them all hope this helps sorry you did not say also speak to your doctor ,good luck please let us know how you get on .

Hello Pickle, yes I get this, I know it's difficult but try not to panic when it happens, it just makes it worse. The doctor put me on Pregabalin for this, it took a couple of months for me to get the right dosage but I find it has really taken down the amount that I twitch and contract. x
