A couple of questions rolled into one ... firstly, is twitching linked to fibro? It does happen in lots of my muscles, but the most annoying is in my big toes and thumbs, and they'll be ticking and jumping away for a couple of hours, and then they'll stop again! It drives me potty (and I didn't have far to go)!
Secondly (on a more personal note), does anyone else find that, sometimes, you know you need to go to the toilet, but you're sitting there a little while, trying to will your bladder to release? I don't know if it's just because my mind is way too busy to focus on bladder evacuation, or if it is actually linked to the fibro!

Cheers, Moffy! I'm due to see the rheumatologist again at some point for the results of my body scan, and my GP to discuss the proposed upping of my amitriptyline to 40mg, so I'll nag one of them when I see them.

Yes I checked my tried and tested fibro symptom checker and there it is twitching muscles.... Many people on here have it in their legs ... I get it in my arms and only at night Fortunately it happens less now but my night meds are perfect so they may have helped....
I quite often get annoyed with my bladder.... my toilet is upstairs and I will get the urge to go.... yet when I get there nothing. I have to press on my bladder for anything to happen, I have spoken to my doctor who just said its probably fibro, JBx
I have had ongoing probs with bladder. Have even resorted to turning on taps as my bathroom too is upstairs.
In mid Jan I was put on duloxetine. I immediately didn't feel right. I went back to the gp and said wasn't good but he thought I should up the duloxetine. Came down with a cold that lasted 4 weeks, sent me into a flare. Bladder probs increased and had 6 weeks off work duringvthis period.
Came to a head when went 3 times in over 28 hours and was on verge of being admitted for urine retention. GP dropped duloxetine and am now off it completely. Still having few more probs than I was but getting back to usual. To be on the safe side though have had a few tests done.
If yours gets worse. I would definitely recommend going to gp as some urine infections can cause these problems.
I have the same problem, being desperate for a wee then not being able to go or just getting a trickle!
I also suffer from bad constipation, sometimes up to 3 weeks between going. I do find that my bladder problem is very much worse when my bowel is full.
My GP puts it down to my meds, but having come off of anti-inflammatorys, the problems haven't gone and my joints are just far more painful again!!
