I've been on this for quite some time, which is unusual 'cause I tend to give up quite easily if I dont see real results v. quickly. For me, not just for depression, they help with muscles in some way I dont really understand, except that it also helps with bladder control, which is a big problem for me. I'm not sure whether as for depression it has a big thumbs up, but i think they do help in combination with other meds. Nothing to lose by giving them a go. Oh, and although they are prescribed for me to take a.m. I take them at night because they have a sedatory effect as well! Tulip xx
thanks Tulip, thats helpful as I wondered whether to take them at bed time, do they leave you a bit hung over in the morning? I've read up on them and they seem to be a bit of a wonder drug, they are licenced for FBM in the US and can work on pain, depression, anxiety and as you mentioned, bladder issues. I so hope that they work for me, I start the with the first one tomorrow after stopping my current meds. the best thing is apprently no side effect that includes 'putting on weight'!
I had to stop using as kept feeling really spaced out and nausea. It was awful
I have been taking them over a year they r good n I've lost weight...no side effects n help with the itchy under my skin.take care.maz
I was prescribed these a month ago for severe muscle pain in my legs. Initially I had side effects which have now settled down, and they do help with the pain. Only problem for me is that since taking them I can't sleep.
Hope they help you
Hi there, I dont usually leave messages but do read the posts each day.
I was on Cymbalta, thought it was a miracle cure worked very well for 3 months I went to Florida and had the holiday of a lifetime which im grateful for.
However i started to get side effects and it became hurrendous. I was having brain zaps and it was blinding me and im a chauffeur!
There are lots of web sites i then found about people on this and the effects.
Coming of it is hell!!
However everyone is different.
Im on pregabalin now and its working for me.
Good luck xx
Hi im like clur I had horrific side effects brain zaps were horrendous and withdrawal was the worst imaginable. But my mum was on them for bladder probs and she tolerated the fine ..you can only give them a go they work for some..I will never forget what I experienced and I was only on them for about 8 weeks. Good luck. But make sure you work with your doc on these pills.x
Hello. I was prescribed duloxetine this week and taking them in the morning. I've been sooo tired by about 3-4 o'clock, but struggle to sleep more than 4 1/2 hours at night. I'm hoping this settles down as I get used to them.
Hope they settle for you.
Hi fbwoman, I started off on 30mg in February this year then in March I was put up to 60mg. I think they have helped with some of the pain. To start off with I kept yawning all the time, but that stopped quickly.
I was told to take them at night as they can make you drowsy. But I now take them in the morning as they kept me awake.
I hope you find them helpful. Becky xx
Thanks for your reply's everyone. It looks as though it is different for everyone, I start on 60mg tonight and I am really hoping that this is the one that works for me.
thanks again everyone xx
Hi, I started on them just over a year age and have never looked back, I feel just so much better, more energy, I have not taken any other pain relief, and my mood is much better.I started taking them at teatime at first but I didn't get any sleep, but now take them in the morning, and I am fine, you have to see what is best for you.Good luck.
