New Meds

Morning everyone, Hope you are feeling as well as you can today.

So I went to see the specialist physio yesterday and she has now referred me on for some physio sessions and pain management to see how I get on, she also did a blood test for my Vit D levels as she said this can cause bone, muscle joint pain if it is low.

Had a catch up with my doctor this morning and he has now started me on Amitriptyline to have along side my Fluxotine and gave me a leaflet on Insomnia.

Alls I can say right now is screw you Fibro 😞

Good luck. Sounds as if I'm on the same path.

Been to the pain clinic and they have helped.

I'm on a new med too. Hope it works.

Hello HanLea

When you start taking the Amitryptyline it is best to take it around 6pm.

If you take it any later than that you can find that you may have a "hungover" type of feeling the next day.

Amitryptyline helps with pain, low mood and sleep so I genuinely hope that it helps with your symptoms.

Wishing you a peaceful weekend.

That's the right attitude!

I have found the amitriptyline extremely useful but you do have to be careful what time you take it to avoid that groggy feeling in the morning.

Good luck!

I take my amitriptyline at 6pm. Any later and it's hard work getting out of bed the next morning.
