What meds are you on

Hi I take meptid , cant take sedative at night anymore as I am back to work but really struggling with pain management, getting sent back to hospital soon but would like advice, is there any injections they could try for example.

They do say that gabapentin is about the best,especially for the nerve endinfs, , I have. 300mg at night & 200mg thru the day, plus tramadol 2three times a day, and co codamol 15/500 when I find its really really getting me down , I have also been told that there isn't any medication yet that take the pain of fibro away completely gentle hugs ...Dee xx

I take dosulepin 75mg at night with 0.5mg clonezapam for muscle spams... I get 7 hours sleep and wake refreshed ... But I haven't found a pain relief med in the day that I am not allergic too.. So much respect to you for managing to carry on working ...

Thanks for your answer. I am struggling with meds at night as wake up drowsy so no good for work. Going to see rheumi on 4th June so wanting some response so I can approach him with it. I was on sick for 14 weeks as was sent to Neuro to check for MS but all negative thank god but its still awfull when you get no relief from pain.

Hi.

I work full time too and was on amiltriptyline for about 10 months. Eventually found the side effects made me to groggy and hazy for work so now take Gagapentin at night and make do with co-codamol during the day when I need it. Not always enough but have to try and keep a clear head when working. Good luck with your appt

Sounds like Gabapentin seems to be the main meds for this, will see what happens. I feel like my abdomen getting more swollen, fair enough I am not very mobile and use 2 sticks but I have not changed eating habits, and to be honest never really feel hungry so would say I hardly eat these days, anyone else experienced this. I am 50 but 2 clothe sizes bigger in a matter of weeks is a worry
