intralipids without the steroids?

Hi 👋

After 3 failed embryo transfers and x1 chemical, I had some more tests done and weighing up whether to do more cycles

The dr I saw advised my AMH level had gone up and everything looked good so he saw no reason not to do more

I had various tests along the way eg hysteroscopy all fine. Anyway the only thing that came back after all the tests is a slightly raised NK cell 1 ? Literally only just over the threshold. They’ve suggested intralipids and steroids. I don’t mind the look of the intralipids but I really don’t want to take the steroids - I have done abit of reading and I’m worried about the possible impact on the developing baby of these (I’m a massive worrier so i just think I’d end up worrying??) however is there any point to just having the intralipids without the steroids - I wondered if anyone had done just this.

They’ve also suggested PGTA testing and blood thinners which i feel ok with (though of course super expensive!!!)

thanks in advance x

Hi lovely,

I've had all the above and after 5 failed FETs I finally had success with PGT-A, steroids, intralipids & blood thinners.

We had success on our 6th transfer :) I was on steroids up to 12 weeks and my little boy was perfectly healthy.

Since then we've also been trying for a sibling and did exactly the same protocol. And if we do another one I'm not going to have the intralipids and just have the steroids - I feel like the intralipids don't do much and the steroids are more impactful.

xx
