Anti-Mullerian Hormone test (AMH)

As I am 41, have never been pregnant, and would have liked a child I have just done an AMH test to see if this is something that would be likely for me. My result has come back as <0.2 which I understand to be incredibly low.

Had my MRI two weeks ago, today I received a letter from a consultant sending me for an AMH test. All it said was ' 31F with endometriosis and large bilateral endometriomas please test prior to surgical planning'. It didn't say anything else but I noticed it was requested from a new name.

I’ve been sent away to do an Amh test and another blood test but basically told that’s it. Nothing else they can do. I feel completely lost now. They haven’t even mentioned the endometriosis investigation and I was so shocked I didn’t ask . Has anyone got any advice I don’t know what to say.

They've taken an AMH test and I'm keeping everything crossed my ovarian reserve hasn't taken a nosedive!

I was booked in for 11th December however the anxiety and stress of what if was too much so I arranged for a private AMH test. Luckily I did as my results have come back at 3.7. It has to be over 5 for the funding. My next appointment with my fertility consultant is on 20th December.

I have taken an AMH test privately partially to put my mind at rest. They said the AMH had to be equal to or above 5.4pmol/L in order for us to qualify.

Levels all looked good but they're arranging an up to date AMH test as well as a Hysterosalpingogram. SO... I have read many different things online. I like to have all of the information/examples I can so that I feel prepared.

Also i read that you have to have a natural period ,to do the fsh and AMH test im not sure if this is correct? . Do you think they will induce my period? And will the fsh and amh test work the same way? As it would on a natural bleed? thanks!

I have to start my period to do my fsh test and amh test and then i start the pill . For my second ivf cycle but im worried my period will not come . So is there anything else i can do to try bring on my period this month? The last bleed i had was after my failed fet.

Husbands sample looking normal now but waiting on dna frag test. Low amh (1.8) maybe lower now …and 39 (nearly 40) years old. It’s hard when there’s no real explanation given. I guess egg quality is a huge factor but I can’t stop wondering.

Has anyone had their AMH drop significantly in a relatively short time? Mine has gone from 9.1 to 4.7 2 years later and now only 1.5 a year on from that.
