Anti-Mullerian Hormone test (AMH)

As I am 41, have never been pregnant, and would have liked a child I have just done an AMH test to see if this is something that would be likely for me. My result has come back as <0.2 which I understand to be incredibly low.

I went to my GP and asked for an AMH test and from what l read it could be done whilst on the pill but your reading might be lower than what it should be. My reading however came back higher than before at 2.8pmol. Im really confused as to what this means???

Had my MRI two weeks ago, today I received a letter from a consultant sending me for an AMH test. All it said was ' 31F with endometriosis and large bilateral endometriomas please test prior to surgical planning'. It didn't say anything else but I noticed it was requested from a new name.

I’ve been sent away to do an Amh test and another blood test but basically told that’s it. Nothing else they can do. I feel completely lost now. They haven’t even mentioned the endometriosis investigation and I was so shocked I didn’t ask . Has anyone got any advice I don’t know what to say.

However - within the test I also had AMH done. It came back as 4.81 pmol/l which was a shock as last year in August it was 1.8 pmol/l. I thought AMH only ever decreased?! Has anyone else had this?

They've taken an AMH test and I'm keeping everything crossed my ovarian reserve hasn't taken a nosedive!

I was booked in for 11th December however the anxiety and stress of what if was too much so I arranged for a private AMH test. Luckily I did as my results have come back at 3.7. It has to be over 5 for the funding. My next appointment with my fertility consultant is on 20th December.

I've had an AMH test and some additional infertility tests ( gonadotrophin, serum prolactin, serum progesterone, and a vaginal swab) and all came back normal / "good for my age". My partner’s semen analysis also came back normal.

I have taken an AMH test privately partially to put my mind at rest. They said the AMH had to be equal to or above 5.4pmol/L in order for us to qualify.

Has anyone had much success age 40 with AMH around 5 pgmol? When we started this journey at 37, my AMH was 9.
